Tiffany Haddish Is Currently Involved In The Adoption Process And Is Looking For An Older Child

Babies are all the rage these days. Naomi Campbell just had a secret baby. All kinds of celebs have been pregnant during the pandemic. And now 41-year-old Tiffany Haddish is on the road to Mommyville as well. She spoke with Entertainment Tonight and revealed that not only is she interested in adopting a kid, but she’s also already got the ball rolling. But unlike all these other celebs getting fresh newborns, Tiffany is looking into adopting an older child who she can teach crass jokes to and use Groupons with.

Tiffany has talked about being in the foster care system growing up and has even previously spoken with her boyfriend, 49-year-old Common, on his podcast Mind Power Mixtape about wanting to adopt an older child to teach them “survival skills.”  Lesson One: Shitting in the shoe of a cheater. Tiffany told ET that she’s already working on getting a kid and is looking to help an older child who may otherwise slip through the cracks. While she originally was looking to foster care, she’s now moved on to the adoption process:

“I’m currently looking, deciding on adopting. First of all, especially after this pandemic, there are so many children left without their parents. It’s Foster Care Awareness Month right now, and I think we all should be aware and try to do what we can… I really wanted to be a foster parent, but because I’m at a certain level of success, my lawyer suggested that it’s probably best to just adopt, and I’m on that process now.”

As for why Tiffany wants an older kid, she seems to be very much interested in skipping all that changing diapers and teaching them to speak stuff.

“I want to get somebody that’s 5 [years old] and up. You know, already knows how to use the restroom, already knows how to talk, already knows how to communicate. All I want to do is pour knowledge in… get them ready for the big, bad world. That’s what I want to do.”

Good thing Tiffany is looking for an older child since that would mean there’s a better chance the kid may be able to teach her a few things. Like, when Tiffany tries to put a jug of turpentine in her kid’s lunchbox, they can let her know that’s not a good idea and they’d rather fucking drink a V-8. And Tiffany’s kid can also teach her that spreading misinformation and bullying doctors is wrong. Think of all the lessons Tiffany can learn!
