Sam Taylor-Johnson Just Got A Tattoo In Honor Of Her Husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson
I guess that’s one way to kill the speculation that you’ve got one foot in the doorway of a divorce lawyer’s office. 54-year-old Sam Taylor-Johnson decided to prove her undying love for her 30-year-old husband of nine years, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, by getting his name tattooed on her collarbone.
A few years ago, Aaron got the name “Sam” tattooed across one of his beefy pecs, and now Sam has returned the favor. Aaron also added to his pec tat, which makes me wonder if they went to a tattoo shop that offers some kind of 2-for-1 couples discount. You can hate on the possible mistake, but you can’t fault them for being thrifty. Sam and Aaron’s tattoo artist Doctor Woo posted several pictures of their new ink. Aaron has added a hummingbird to his “Sam,” and Sam has added an “Aaron” to her lower neck area. For some reason, Doctor Woo turned the comments off on the post of Sam and Aaron’s new work, presumably because he didn’t want to host a space dedicated to a bunch of internet strangers joking about how Doctor Woo just jinxed the Taylor-Wood’s marriage or questions about whether he also offers tattoo removal.
But before the comments were turned off, People magazine points out that Sam hopped in and left two heart emojis on Doctor Woo’s post. Sam hasn’t posted a picture of her “Aaron” tattoo to her own Instagram account yet, and Aaron won’t be flooding the timeline with shirtless selfies, because he’s not on Instagram anymore. That’s too bad. I wish there was a platform where he could explain the placement of that hummingbird. For example, why did he not ask for that hummingbird to be rotated 45-degrees, so that it would look like it was collecting nectar from his nipple?
As for why Sam suddenly decided to get Aaron’s name tattooed on her collarbone, that’s anyone’s guess. The tattoo was done just a few weeks before Sam and Aaron will celebrate their 9th wedding anniversary, on June 21st. But even without internet gossips wondering how many more anniversary celebrations they have in their future, it is a bold move to get a name tattooed when you’re in a Hollywood famous marriage. You know at least someone in that tattoo shop tried to casually throw out some alternatives. “No no no, for sure, your marriage is super strong, soulmates for life. But like, maybe we could try My Love or Babe or something that’s not his name instead?”
