Angelina Jolie Might Not Be So Thrilled That Brad Pitt Was Awarded Joint Custody Of Their Kids

Last week, Brad Pitt was temporarily given more time with five of the six Jolie-Pitt children (19-year-old Maddox has aged out) after his long, messy, acrimonious custody battle with Angelina Jolie. Brad was happy about the decision. Angelina, however, is not. Angelina is reportedly still steamed that their custody judge wouldn’t let the kids testify.
Maddox was reportedly allowed to testify because he’s over 18, so it would be his adult choice. There were reports stating that Angelina allegedly wanted to nuke their custody case by having all six kids testify in hopes that their side of the story would prove her domestic violence claims against Brad. But that didn’t happen, because the judge assigned to their case, Judge John Ouderkirk, decided that 17-year-old Pax, 16-year-old Zahara, 14-year-old Shiloh, and12-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox, shouldn’t be dragged into testifying. So they didn’t. A source tells Us Weekly that a “bitterly disappointed” Angelina will “never forgive” Brad, no matter what Judge Ouderkirk decided, and that she’ll keep fighting him in court:
“She will never forgive him,” the source says, adding that she will use “everything she’s got” to appeal the arrangement. “She maintains it’s far from over and still believes that justice will prevail.”
The only problem is, Angelina might need more than just a grudge in her heart and a blood lust to see Brad burn like a hot dog left on the grill too long. Us Weekly’s source says that one of the reasons why Judge Ouderkirk handed over that temporary custody agreement in Brad’s favor was simply because he brought a stronger argument to the table:
“Angelina’s testimony lacked credibility,” the source adds. “The decision was based on extensive testimonies from people who spent time with the kids and by highly respected professionals.”
After Judge Ouderkirk made his decision last week, Angelina’s legal team released a statement, claiming that Angelina was denied a fair trial, due to Judge Ouderkirk excluding evidence that was relevant to her children’s health and safety. So her team might try to appeal the decision and request that Judge Ouderkirk be replaced. Good luck to them, as they tried that once, and it didn’t exactly work out for them. But how is Brad doing in all of this? Well, if Brad had a theme song right now, it might be Matthew Wilder’s “Break My Stride,” because nothing can slow him down after Judge Ouderkirk’s ruling, not even the threat of a vengeful Angelina dragging him back to court:
Pitt was “delighted” by the decision, an insider says. Since the current ruling is only tentative, Pitt knows his ex-wife will try to appeal the decision, “but he’s done letting her call the shots,” the first source adds. “He wishes Angie no harm. His door is open if she wants to be civil.”
And it gets better for Brad! Not only does he get to legally see his kids on a regular basis without Angelina suddenly “forgetting” it was his day, but his personal life is doing well too. According to a source, 57-year-old Brad was seen “flirting” with 36-year-old Best Actress nominee Andra Day at the Academy Awards back in April. Brad was at the Oscars to present the award for Best Supporting Actress, and it sounds like he took home the award for Most Likely to Get Andra Day’s Phone Number. via The Sun:
Brad Pitt was caught “flirting” with Andra Day at this year’s Oscars, according to reports. The pair were said to have “swapped numbers” at the glitzy event, which was held in Los Angeles last month.
A source told The Mirror: “They were flirting backstage and are believed to have swapped numbers. It could be just professional, but some of Brad’s pals have been talking about what a great couple they would make.”
If they did get flirty enough that phone numbers were actually exchanged, then I am curious to know who made the first move. I bet it was Andra, texting Brad: “Before we go any further, I just want to know how committed you are to that little ponytail.”
