The Co-Hosts Of “The View” Got In Trouble With Their New Boss For Fighting

Meghan McCain and her cohorts at The View all got called to the principal’s office for fighting in class, only in this case the principal is the new president of ABC News Kim Godwin and the unruly teens are actually adult women earning seven-figure salaries. After yet another on-air fight that happened on Monday’s show, Principal Godwin called a meeting with The View hosts and production crew and got on their asses for turning the show into a personal grudge match in favor of debating the important issues of the day. And according to TMZ, Meghan didn’t take too kindly to being “attacked” and stormed out of the meeting before it was over. No reports as to whether or not she kicked a locker and pushed over a trash can on her way out.

Once again, Meghan and Joy Behar got into it on Monday’s show, this time over anti-semitism. Meghan’s against it, Joy is also against it, but has been against it longer? Look, I don’t get it either but the important thing to know is that there was a lot of “resentment,” eye-rolling, and generalized seething on both sides. TMZ reports:

Production sources tell TMZ … following Monday’s heated exchange between Meghan and Joy over anti-Semitism, ABC News President Kim Godwin called a last-minute meeting with ‘View’ talent and producers, trying to improve the culture behind the scenes at the show.

We’re told ABC was getting flooded with pleas to fire Meghan over her latest tantrum and attacks on Joy, and that’s what sparked the virtual meeting.

Our sources say Godwin — who just took the helm at ABC earlier this month — told everyone things are getting too personal on TV lately, not with the issues they’re debating … but with the attacks between co-hosts.

Godwin told everyone it’s coming off as toxic to the audience, and it’s not the direction she wants for the show.

It sounds like her message was not well received by MM, though — we’re told she stormed out of the meeting before it ended because she felt like she was being “attacked.”

No honey, when that lady comes at your scalp with the entire contents of aisles 3 through 10 of a Micheal’s craft store and a hot glue gun, that’s an attack, I don’t care what she tells you. Here’s the clip from Monday’s show. Meghan really gets rolling at about the 3:45 mark:

Sounds like Kim has really got her work cut out for her because as long as Joy, Whoopi, and them other ones are getting paid millions of dollars to put up with her ass, they will. Besides, all that fighting must be good for ratings. And you have to give Meghan credit for not calling the “attacks” against her hate crimes! That showed a lot of restraint. There may be hope for her after all!
