Alex Rodriguez Has Gotten Too “Needy” For Jennifer Lopez, And She Cut Him Off
Ever since Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced they were splitting up and ending their engagement, A-Rod has been living his life like it’s the third act of a romantic comedy. You know, the part where the guy is desperate to win the love of his life back from the bad boy hunk with questionable intentions? A-Rod has tried everything to woo JLo back into his chemically plumped arms, from eating food together to thinking good thoughts about it. JLo clearly isn’t as interested in going back to A-Rod. Even if she didn’t maybe already have Ben Affleck back in her life, she allegedly wants nothing to do with how desperate A-Rod has been acting. Jenny from the block is now Jenny who will block your calls.
A-Rod’s most recent possible attempt at getting JLo back might have been that Instagram post, featuring A-Rod eating dinner with his daughters, and three empty place settings at the table. When A-Rod and JLo were together, they blended their families Brady Bunch-style, so those three empty seats could be for the three empty people that used to sit there. It didn’t work. A source who spoke to People magazine claims that JLo is officially over all of A-Rod’s shit, including any sad, lonely pining for his former fiancée:
“[Alex] was under the impression that he and Jennifer would go on as friends, but he is acting so needy that Jennifer cut him off. Jennifer seems very happy. She tried for a long time to get her relationship with Alex to work. She feels good that she decided to break it off. She just doesn’t trust him and didn’t want to waste any more time,” the source concludes.
That source doesn’t say how JLo cut him off. Did she erase his contact info from her phone? Tell her security guard not to let him past the front gate, no matter what he claims to have left inside her home? But if she did block his number, it’s probably for the best. The source goes on:
“Alex is not thrilled,” the source says of how things have recently unfolded after his split from ex-fiancée Lopez, noting that former New York Yankee Rodriguez had hoped things between the pair would remain amicable. “It definitely hurt his ego.”
Shocked, upset, and now, NOT THRILLED. Poor A-Rod. What can he do now? Maybe he could take a little inspiration from the 1997 film Addicted to Love. A-Rod can channel his inner Meg Ryan and vow to get revenge on the lover that has left him and moved on, by creating a love quadrangle with Ben Affleck’s former love of his life. Both JLo and Ben will surely be so mad when they see A-Rod strutting around town with his lips wrapped around a Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee straw.
