Alex Rodriguez Is “Shocked” That Jennifer Lopez Moved On To Ben Affleck So Quickly And Let Her Know He’s “Upset”

Jennifer Lopez didn’t get an Oscar nomination for Hustlers so she’s decided on the next best thing and is giving the performance of a fucking LIFETIME here out in reality. JLo and Ben Affleck–who split in 2004–decided to rekindle their romantic relationship after JLo and Alex Rodriguez ended their own engagement last month. The topsy-turvy love triangle has been making headlines and Bennifer 1.0’s recent week-long vacation together caused the collective orgasm of every tabloid head honcho in North America. Somebody hand them the lube and a hankie because sources now say that JLo and Ben have been talking for months and other sources are painting A-Rod as a tragic ex who’s “shocked” Jenny fled his block so quickly. Bennifer is here to save the tabloid industry “post-pandemic“!

Since JLo and A-Rod broke up over the rumors of his cheating ways, A-Rod was said to be trying to woo JLo back. But good luck with that, A-Rod, because JLo is done with that storyline and has moved on to the return of Bennifer. After hanging out at her house together, Ben and JLo went on a week-long vacation at the Big Sky resort in Montana. E! News has sources who say this was all a little too fast for Alex. I see how he’s confused by the timing. JLo moved on after the relationship ended, he’s used to moving on while he’s still dating the person.

“A-Rod is shocked that JLo has moved on. He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to JLo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.”

The source said that Alex was so “saddened” by the redux of Bennifer that he called her to say “he’s upset.” But JLo cared about that as much as I do:

“She’s not interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done.”

A second source says that JLo loved her vacay with Ben in Montana and it was a chance to “see where this could lead.”

“She wants to give it a shot with Ben. They never really had closure and she has always wondered what could have been. The timing was never right and they were in different places until now.”

They never had closure? He married someone else in between then and now. So did she! Sources add that Bennifer “have always stayed in touch and had a strong connection.”

“She finally has had the opportunity to spend time with him and see where this could lead. They are very comfortable together and it’s easy. She wants to keep seeing him and is very happy.”

But TMZ has sources who act like this reunion wasn’t so out of the blue. It seems that Ben may have reached out to JLo in February while she was still in the Dominican Republic filming Shotgun Wedding and also still engaged to A-Rod.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Ben and J Lo were in very regular contact by email starting in early February when she flew to the Caribbean to begin filming Shotgun Wedding. We’re told the tone of the emails wasn’t just friendly … but more loving and longing for Jen.

For instance, after seeing pics of Jennifer in the D.R., he wrote to tell her how beautiful she looked, and how much he wished he could be down there with her. Of course, he was busy at the time in Boston, shooting “The Tender Bar” with George Clooney — and she was still engaged to Alex Rodriguez.

Our sources say the emails also referenced JLo’s love for Ben’s writing, and included a line about him being able to “own her heart” with his pen.

We’re told they continued emailing each other, back and forth, for the duration of JLo’s shoot … which wrapped in late April.

As far as our sources know, there was no physical contact or rendezvous between them during this time, but the emails do add context to how they seemingly got together so quickly.

And while A-Rod isn’t happy about the revival of Bennifer, Ben’s best brofriend Matt Damon is, saying on Today this morning that he hopes it’s true and he loves them both:

A-Rod should try to take a page out of Ben’s “win JLo” back playbook by writing her romantic emails. Although, I’m not sure if A-Rod can writing anything beyond, “u up?”
