Prince William And Duchess Kate Celebrated Their 10th Wedding Anniversary With A Little Photoshoot
April hasn’t exactly been the best month for the Royal Family. There was Prince Philip’s funeral. The continued semi-estrangement of Prince Harry from his family. Prince Andrew continuing to be the worst. But there is a little bit of joy to be celebrated this month, and that’s the milestone tenth wedding anniversary of Prince William and Duchess Kate. Wow, has it really been ten years since the world lost its mind over Pippa’s butt? Time flies. To commemorate the occasion, William and Kate offered up a whole Land’s End catalog worth of posing and full-teeth smiling to mark their first decade of marital bliss.
According to UK tradition, the traditional 10th anniversary gift is tin. William and Kate are traditional types, but they’re not complete weirdos, so it would be far too much to expect them to have a tin-themed photoshoot. And really, how do you even execute such a thing. Your options are limited to dressing up like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz, or sprawling out across a pile of old soup cans. Kensington Palace released a few new pictures of William and Kate:
The following shots were reportedly taken earlier this week, ahead of their anniversary today. They wore matchy-matchy outfits, and maybe it’s my Instagram addiction talking, but it looks like Kate threw her hair up in some DIY bathrobe belt heatless curls. What am I saying? Of course that’s what she did. And don’t bother checking to see where you can buy Kate’s $150 dress, it’s already sold out.
They also shared this video of their whole family, including Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte, and their new-ish Cocker Spaniel dog, running around, frolicking in the dunes, and roasting marshmallows.

One thing Prince Harry alleged in his and Meghan’s tell-all interview with Oprah was that he believed his brother was “trapped” in a toxic life. Did Harry mean that in a metaphorical way? William is trapped, alright. By the color blue. Every time these two step in front of a camera, blue. Note to any member of the Royal Family: stay away from blue. No cobalt, no carolina, no navy, sky, or powder. Don’t even think about cornflower. That’s William and Kate’s well-established turf!
