Kelly Osbourne Relapsed After Almost Four Years Of Sobriety

April 20, 2021 / Posted by:

Kelly Osbourne has relapsed after nearly four years of sobriety and took to Instagram Stories to share the news with fans. Kelly wore her hair in purple-grey pigtail buns and abstracted her visage with a sparkly filter/dragon-eye called, “Cute baby face.” So, yeah. Lady meant business. Kelly said she’s not proud of her relapse, but she’s sober today and she plans to be sober tomorrow.

Here is what Kelly said:

This is a little hard for me to talk about, but I’ve always promised you that I will always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery.

I relapsed. Not proud of it. But I am back on track, and I will be doing a podcast this week where I tell everybody about what’s going on and what happened.

Podcast plug. Nice. Kelly continues:

And I just wanna let you know that I am sober today and I’m gonna be sober tomorrow, but it truly is just one day at a time.

And I just wanted to tell you guys the truth, ’cause I never, ever want to lie to you. Thank you so much for your support and your love, and you’ll be hearing from me soon.

Here’s the video:

36-year-old Kelly has battled alcoholism and drug addiction for many years, just like her dad Ozzy Osbourne and brother Jack Osbourne. In her 2017 memoir, Kelly claimed she’d been sober for eight years, but in an Instagram post from New Years 2020, she said she’d only been off booze for two years. So it’s been a struggle.

Kelly’s mom Sharon Osbourne was recently fired from The Talk for (alleged) racist behavior. And, like, I’m sure there was no one thing that caused Kelly to relapse (I mean, this damn pandemic would be trigger enough), but the Sharon situation probably didn’t help. Hell, I get second-hand stress when my mom calls to vent about her book club drama.

But if you wanna know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, you MUST tune into Kelly’s new podcast, The Kelly Osbourne and Jeff Beacher Show, premiering May 4 on PodcastOne! Jesus Christ, I can hardly control my excitement.
