Charlyne Yi Calls Out James Franco For Preying On Children And Seth Rogen For Enabling Him
Charlyne Yi got her big break as one of the stoner friends in Seth Rogen’s Knocked Up. She also appeared in The Disaster Artist, which starred Seth and his pal James Franco. Now Charlyne has revealed on Instagram that she tried to quit The Disaster Artist because she didn’t wanna work with a sexual predator (James). She says they attempted to bribe her with a bigger role in the film and told her James had changed. But Charlyne says she’d heard of James “abusing new women that week.” Charlyne also calls out Seth Rogen for enabling his friend’s abusive behavior.

When I tried to break legal contract & quit Disaster Artist because James Franco is a sexual predator, they tried to bribe me with a bigger acting role. I cried and told them that that was the exact opposite of what I wanted, that I didn’t feel safe working with a fucking sexual predator.
They minimized & said Franco being a predator was so last year and that he changed… when I literally heard of him abusing new women that week.
Predators will perform empathy, gaslight, & say they will do better — all in order to protect themselves and continue to harm others. Enablers are just as toxic and are abusers too. Disgusted by white men choosing power over protecting children and women from predators. Educate, organize, and dismantle corruption in your circles and in the law.
White men saying it’s not their responsibility when holding Franco accountable, or when holding Seth Rogen and enablers accountable. Then whose responsibility is it? The women and children who have PTSD from Franco? Or the future targets of abuse? White men perform infantalism when it comes to sacrificing their white supremacy & patriarchy because they actually don’t give a fuck.
In the caption, Charlyne added that Seth must have been aware of the Disaster Artist bribe and that he did a sketch with James on Saturday Night Live that enabled him to prey on children (right after he was caught in 2014). She’s probably talking about this one, where Seth plays James Franco as a perv.

It’s fucked that 42-year-old James Franco continues to fly under the radar and keep working despite all the allegations against him. Including the claims that his acting school created a sexually exploitative environment. When two former students filed a sexual misconduct lawsuit against him, he called the accusations “salacious” and “tabloid fodder.” The suit was quietly settled back in February. And there are still tons of pervy stories/rumors about him on social media. They’re not hard to find.
Hopefully, Seth Rogen takes a break from making pottery to reflect/address these allegations. I doubt he will. Those powerful white men… they rarely turn on each other. They lock their shit down tighter than those preppies in The Skulls.
