Mrs. World And Her Friend Were Arrested For Stealing Mrs. Sri Lanka’s Crown

Yesterday I gave the controversial score of 6.8 to the Mrs. Sri Lanka 2020 crown snatching but I may have to revise that considering that while the snatch itself was lackluster, it has since become AN INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT. According to E! News, both Mrs. World Caroline Jurie, the instigator of the snatch, and her accomplice, who has been identified as “2006 model of the worldChula Padmendra, were both arrested and charged with “simple hurt and criminal cause.” They’ve both been released on bail but the brouhaha their hi-jinks caused has forced me to adjust their overall score to a 7.1, thanks in no small part to snatchee Pushpika De Silva’s unwavering thirst for revenge.

Mrs. World made a Drag Race rookie mistake when she entered the competition unprepared and without a solid plan for The Snatch Game. And now, because she fucked it up, she found herself sashaying away straight to the police station. Her and her little dog too!

Caroline Jurie, the reigning Mrs. World who Mrs. Sri Lanka World Pushpika De Silva accused of injuring her after Jurie grabbed the crown from her head at a recent pageant, was arrested on April 8.

Police spokesman Ajith Rohana told the BBC Jurie and model Chula Padmendra were arrested over the incident on charges of simple hurt and criminal cause.

Chandimal Jayasinghe, the national director of Mrs. Sri Lanka World, told the Colombo Gazette he, Jurie, Padmendra and De Silva recorded statements at the Cinnamon Gardens Police station in Colombo earlier in the day and that Jurie and Padmendra were arrested shortly after. Per the BBC, Jurie and Padmendra were bailed out and are expected to appear in Colombo Magistrates Court on April 19.

Just look at the header picture above of Pushpika’s torn and tattered scalp, for which she sought treatment at the hospital, and you can see that Chula and Caroline are very lucky they weren’t prosecuted for attempted murder!

I have no idea what she’s saying but I’m sure it’s very noble. And if like me you are a little obsessed with Chula, the woman who really stole the show with her dagger eyes and triumphant salute, I’m sorry to report that she’s set her Instagram to private. But here are a couple of shots I was able to find by searching #UnapologeticMeanGirls

Honestly, in my eyes, she’s almost reached icon status. Caroline, not so much. Here she is leaving the police station looking just like somebody who’d tenderly unpin the crown from a rival’s head.

Where is the passion? Where is the drama? I can guarantee Chula probably cussed out at least 3, maybe 4 motherfuckers on her way back to the car.
