Jimmy Fallon Had The Creators Of TikTok Dances On “The Tonight Show” After The Addison Rae Backlash

Jimmy Fallon and 20-year-old TikTok star, Addison Rae, recently caught shit for a segment on The Tonight Show where Addison did a bunch of TikTok dances poorly which she had no involvement in creating. People got pissed that a young pretty white girl was getting all the attention for doing TikTok dances that were mostly created by Black TikTok creators. So Jimmy and The Tonight Show did a little damage control and decided to have a Zoom chat with the creators of those same dances.

HuffPo says that Jimmy addressed the backlash on last night’s show, which was the first show since they went on hiatus after the Addison episode. He explained that the original TikTok creators deserved attention so he had some of them on. They are Mya Nicole Johnson, Chris Cotter, Dorien Scott, Fur-Quan Powell, Camyra Franklin, Adam Snyder, Nate Nale, Greg Dahl, and Keara Wilson. Jimmy said this during the segment: 

“On our last show before our break, we did a bit with Addison Rae where she taught me eight viral TikTok dances. We recognize that the creators of those dances deserve to have their own spotlight.”

Well, that was a fun 11 minutes of damage control, I hope those creators enjoyed themselves though. Addison is doing just fine post-controversy. Right after Addison’s episode of The Tonight Show aired and she got hell for it, TMZ happened to catch her in Los Angeles and asked her about it. Addison spit out some bullshit about how she would love to collaborate in the future with the original creators of the dancers. Well, Page Six has some tea on Addison and it turns out that the paparazzi just doesn’t happen to run into her when she’s out. SHOCKING!

Page Six’s sources say that Addison has been in New York recently and while she’s been in town, she’s been calling up paparazzi and letting them know where she’s going to be and when. Addison wants her pictures out there because she’s trying to be some kind of style star:

And it seems to be working. While we’re told that she’s been staying at a relatively off-the-beaten-track hotel — as in, not one the pap hangouts like the Mercer on the Greenwich — she’s nonetheless been snapped all over town.

We’re told Rae seems particularly interested in making sure her style has been well documented by the press.

Addison is really close with 41-year-old Kourtney Kardashian, so she’s learning from the biggest fame whores in the game. I wonder how long until Addison adopts the rest of the Kardashian Fame Playbook? When can we expect updates on her fillers? When is the secret baby announcement? So many career highlights for Addison to enjoy!
