Kristen Dunst And Jesse Plemons Are Expecting Their Second Baby
Well, whaddya know, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are expecting their second child together. Congrats! Their first baby, a son named Ennis, is 2 years old. Wait, if the first one is Ennis, does this mean the second one will be named Jack Twist? Girl or boy, I think it’s sexy! And “sexy” is definitely the adjective you wanna shoot for when naming your children.
Kiki debuted her baby-filled body on the cover of W Magazine in a “1980s society hostess”-inspired photoshoot directed by her frequent collaborator/buddy Sofia Coppola. The shoot also included two of Sofia’s other leading ladies Rashida Jones and Elle Fanning. Here’s the cover. It’d be a lot cooler if all three women were pregz, but whatever:
Sofia says she wanted to serve “feminine and fancy” because everyone is so starved for beauty and fashion these days. She went on to say, “The idea is that these women are lying around like they’re tired after trying on so many gowns.” Which meant a very pregnant Kirsten had a hard time getting back to her feet: “Every shot was on the floor. I was like, ‘I can’t get up.’ I felt like Urkel.”
Kirsten’s been directed by Sofia three times: The Virgin Suicides (1999), Marie Antoinette (2006), and The Beguiled (2017). She talked to W Magazine about working with Sofia:
“I felt really protected,” Dunst said of her experience working with Coppola on The Virgin Suicides. “She made me feel like I was cool, like my teeth were cool, and I was pretty. At 16, I did not think anything of myself. And it’s nice to have had another woman celebrate that transition, rather than it having been sexualized through a man’s perspective.”
“It’s just so beautiful to have that kind of friendship where you’ve seen each other have children,” Dunst said. “There are few collaborations, to be honest, where it lasts, where someone knows you that long that’s not your family.”
Last year Kirsten and Jesse talked to The New York Times about how they fell in love. They first bonded while starring as husband and wife on the second season of Fargo. A year and a half later they got together, and Jesse said, “I knew she would be in my life for a long time.” Kirsten added, “We laugh about the fact that we were two child actors, and we both made it out okay.” Now, apparently, these two refer to each other as husband and wife, but, according to Page Six, they aren’t officially married yet.
