Lil Nas X Continues To Stunt With His “Satan Shoe” Which Contains A Drop Of Human Blood

Lil Nas X is out here pushing more buttons than a 3-year-old in an elevator factory with his latest song Montero (Call Me By Your Name) and accompanying music video. I don’t remember hearing such hullabaloo when Charlie Daniels was talking about Johnny vanquishing the devil with his fiddle, but Satan gets one little lap dance before getting his neck snapped and all hell breaks loose. Lil Nas has uploaded Satanic Panic version 666.0 and he’s monetizing the hell out of it. Today, in collaboration with streetwear company MCSHF, he released a “Satan Shoe” — a tricked-out Nike Air Max 97s that contains a drop of human blood in the sole. Only 666 were made and unsurprisingly, they sold out in under a minute despite their $1,018 price tag. Say what you will about The Devil, but at least he tips his dancers well!

Here’s the Satan Shoe that you can wear to kick rocks if you’re pressed about them.

According to NBC News, Nike has already disavowed the shoes:

Lil Nas X, the “Old Town Road” artist, is collaborating with the streetwear company MSCHF on a pair of “Satan Shoes,” only 666 pairs of which will be on sale Monday. The controversial kicks — apparently modified Nike Air Max 97s — are decorated with a pentagram pendant and a reference to Luke 10:18, a Bible verse about Satan’s fall from heaven. They’ll be sold for $1,018.

The sneakers also contain a drop of human blood in the sole, drawn from members of the MSCHF team, the company told NBC News on Sunday.

News of the shoes drew outrage over the Palm Sunday weekend; some critics slammed both Lil Nas X and Nike. But Nike was quick to distance itself from the shoes, pointing out that they’re custom adaptations of existing products.

“We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF,” Nike said in a statement. “Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”

Ever the masterful troll, Lil Nas X issued an “apology” video on YouTube ahead of the shoe’s release.  I tried to embed it here but it’s been slapped with an age-restricted label. So enter here IF YOU DARE. You can leave your soul here, I’ll hold on to it for you until you get back. But here’s the gist of Lil Nas X’s “apology” video, via HuffPo:

The video, titled “Lil Nas X Apologizes for Satan Shoe” posted on YouTube, begins with the singer holding up one of the shoes, created by himself and a company called MSCHF, which sport pentagram medallions and a drop of human blood.

“I see everybody’s been talking about this shoe and I just wanna say…”

The clip cuts to a scene from his new music video for the song “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” in which he gives Satan a lap dance. Then, he kills the devil, takes his horns and puts them on his own head.

If that’s not enough of a troll, Lil Nas X added a second “apology” in the comments, which actually links to the full video for the song.

And Lil Nas X remains divinely unbothered by the criticism, curse his lil’ heart.

Time for these weirdos to move on. He’s not going to repent! Maybe they should be targeting the real Satanic entity that’s been corrupting children for decades — Hot Stuff The Little Devil

Fucking diabolical.
