Relationship Expert Derrick Jaxn Has Apologized For Repeatedly Cheating On His Wife
Derrick Jaxn is a relationship “expert”, known for his massive social media following and YouTube videos. He is big into the Bible, preaches about healing and healthy relationships, and has written several books, including Things She Wishes You Understood and A Cheating Man’s Heart. Well, I guess Derrick did some first-hand research for that last book, cuz on Monday he posted a video confessing to serial-cheating on his wife, Da’Naia Jackson. In the seven-and-a-half minute video, Derrick continuously refers to himself in the third person and grasps the hand of poor Da’Naia, who’s in full Good Wife mode.
First, a little background, courtesy of Essence. Derrick first got attention on his blog in 2012, where he shared the mistakes that lost him his college sweetheart, Da’Naia. The couple eventually reconciled, got married, and had kids. He revealed to fans the strategies he personally used to help his marriage. Then, earlier this month, rumors of infidelity began swirling online. And earlier this week a woman named Candice De Medeiros claimed she’d had an affair with him, and shared her receipts with vlogger Tasha K. In a now-deleted video, Derrick initially claimed he was separated from Da’Naia and hadn’t cheated. Then he posted his big confession, in which he admitted (in third person) that he cheated last fall:
“Derrick Jaxn was involved with other women outside the marriage and by involved I want to be clear, I’m not talking about just casually kicking it maybe a lunch or something like that, I’m talking about as serious as sex to sexual flirtation and meeting up and that kind of thing.”
Da’Naia says she briefly left him when she found out, but she returned after she “saw a shift in his personality.” She says she forgives him. Da’Naia is in denial it seems:
Then Derrick went a step further and posted his reaction… to his own apology video:

Da’Naia went back online and explained why she’s sticking with her husband. Her reasoning is that just because her marriage is dead, doesn’t mean it can’t be resurrected by the power of Jesus:
And out of all the things to criticize her over, people criticized her appearance, so she has something to say about that. She says, “You see a bonnet, I see the helmet of salvation. You see an army green shirt, I see the breastplate of righteousness”:

But it looks like Da’Naia and Derrick’s troubles are far from over. There are rumors that Derrick cheated as recently as last week and his “current mistress” got an abortion:

If that’s true and this woman has proof, stay tuned for even more apology videos. Hmmm, how will Derrick spin this? I’m gonna guess his explanation will have something to do with… ohhhh, I dunno, blaming Satan for possessing his sperm?
