Britney Spears Moves One Step Closer To Completely Pushing Her Dad Out As Her Conservator

Pop legend, communist princess, and fastest woman in the world, Britney Spears, has been in a messed up fight over her conservatorship for a long time. Most recently she’s been trying to get her father, Jamie Spears, removed as her conservator. Her lawyer has gone so far as to claim Britney is “afraid”of her father and will never perform again so long as he’s involved in her career. Well, we’re a little closer to seeing Britney freed from the shackles of Daddy Spears as TMZ says that Britney has filed documents to make Jodi Montgomery her permanent conservator and wants Daddy Spears to keep his nose out of her personal stuff, including overseeing her medical decisions.

Jodi Montgomery first stepped into the role of Brit’s conservator in 2019 after a messy fight between Jamie Spears and Britney’s son, Sean Preston. Britney has apparently loved having Jodi in control of her person and wants to keep this going for the foreseeable future. Britney’s legal team filed documents to make Jodi the full-time conservator of her person and asked for Jamie to permanently resign from the role. And Britney’s dad, who has said he would “love” for Britney to be out of her conservatorship and would absolutely never take financial advantage of his daughter, is totally fine with it. But he’s still in charge of Britney’s money:

According to the paperwork, obtained by TMZ, Britney notes Jamie relinquished that power temporarily in September of 2019 … and Jodi was appointed a temporary conservator of her person at that time. Now it looks like Britney wants to keep Jodi in the position going forward. Sources connected to the case tell us … Jamie has no objections to the change, and Britney really likes Jodi in that role. He’s fine with it.

As for the difference between the conservator of Britney’s person and Britney’s estate — the latter of which Jamie is still co-conservator alongside Bessemer Trust Company — is that Jodi is basically in charge of Brit’s personal decisions, which entails quite a bit in her day-to-day.

The docs lay out exactly what they want Jodi to continue running as it pertains to Britney’s well-being — which include powers to limit visitors (so long as she isn’t restricted from access to counsel), retain caretakers and security guards for Britney, prosecute civil harassment restraining orders that may arise and the power to communicate with medical personnel with respect to any treatment for Britney.

Britney’s legal team also let us know that she’s looking toward a day when she’s no longer under a conservatorship:

Here’s another interesting line in the docs that Britney’s team filed … “Petitioner expressly reserves the right to petition for termination of this conservatorship under Probate Code section 1861. Nothing in the within petition shall be deemed to constitute a waiver of that right.” Make of that what you will … but it is underlined and in bold.

Britney Spears’ legal team knows to hold onto receipts! Bold and underline, bitches!

This may be the time for Daddy Spears to freshen up his LinkedIn page since it seems like his days of getting paid to look after his daughter’s millions are coming to an end. And while he does that, can someone explain this to me:

“Oh, red equals SOS which equals a cry for help, and the refrigerator is a symbol for Britney being trapped in the cold clutches of her conservatorship, that’s all” said the #FreeBritney people.
