Brad Pitt Is “Heartbroken” By Angelina Jolie’s Abuse Allegations

The messiness that is the years-long divorce battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came back into the headlines recently when Angie’s lawyers filed documents, claiming that she’s willing to provide proof that Brad was abusive during their relationship and added that their children are available to testify. The elder member of the child army, 19-year-old Maddox Jolie-Pitt, has reportedly already testified against his estranged daddy. Well, Page Six has heard from sources on Brad’s side and he’s simply “heartbroken” about the whole thing. Do you know who isn’t? Gossip magazines who just figured out their next month and a half of headlines.

Brad is currently fighting with Angelina for 50-50 custody of 5 of their children: Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox. They’re currently in the middle of a custody trial and are arguing their case in front of a private judge, Judge John W. Ouderkirk (who Angie doesn’t like and thinks is biased towards Brad). Angelina wants to slam Brad with evidence of his alleged abuse. Back in 2016, Brad was cleared by the L.A. Department of Children and Family Services for child abuse allegations, which stemmed from a private plane fight between a drunken Brad and a then-15-year-old Maddox. But it seems like Angie has more abuse allegations besides that fight.

A source tells Page Six that Brad is “heartbroken” about the allegations and admitted that he had a lot of issues when he was boozing and hitting the hard stuff, but now that he’s sober he’s a changed man:

“Brad is heartbroken that Angelina has gone that route. There’s a lot of emotion left after their marriage. He has taken responsibility for his actions and owned up to his past issues, he’s stopped drinking. The marriage was very passionate and toxic at times and — like all couples — they had fights, but also shared many good times together. He has talked about his drink and drug problems during the time they were together.”

The source adds that during their marriage, Brad was never arrested or charged with an offense and no police reports were ever made regarding spousal abuse. Brad apparently believes that this is all part of a smear campaign against him:

“Brad and his camp has never attacked Angelina. But his camp feels this leak was calculated to sway opinion ahead of the conclusion of their trial. Brad feels like he’s being more and more isolated from his children, and he’s devastated about it.”

Apparently, this shit show is expected to come to a close next month (HA!) because that’s when the trial will end, and the judge will rule on custody. And sources also tell Page Six that while the kids were interviewed by court-appointed therapists, the gossip that Maddox “gave negative testimony” about Brad is believed to be untrue.

I guess we’ll find out what the kids said when Angelina or Brad’s team leaks it to the press. But honestly, if Angelina wanted the judge to hear some people saying shitty things about Brad, she just needed to have the people from New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward come to speak.
