Tori Spelling And Jennie Garth Respond To Vanessa Marcil’s Claim That There Was Cattiness On The “90210” Set

Many moons ago Vanessa Marcil played Gina Kincaid on the last two seasons of Beverly Hills, 90210. It’s where she met her ex-fiancé/shit father to her son, Brian Austin Green. And last month, Vanessa went on Instagram Live and alleged that there was “cattiness” on the set of the show. Specifically from Jennie Garth. Big surprise, Jennie and her crony Tori Spelling addressed Vanessa’s accusations on their podcast 9021OMG. They did the same thing when Jessica Alba claimed there was a zero eye contact rule on the 90210 set. These two must love it when old co-stars tell stories about their alleged bitchiness. More promo for the pod!

Here’s Vanessa’s exact words, via E! Online:

“I was so hurt when I was working there that I felt like I was sideswiped by the cattiness and not being liked. I wasn’t expecting it,” per Us Weekly. She also mentioned an instance when Jennie, who played Kelly Taylor, told her, “Maybe it would help if you didn’t walk around like somebody who isn’t liked?”

As Vanessa, 52, reflected, “So I realized maybe I had taken it so personally… that now I was walking around like someone who isn’t liked.”

How do you walk around like somebody who isn’t liked? Furtively? Head held down in shame? Constant flinching like you’re gonna get hit? Tori also doesn’t know what that means:

“What the fuck does that mean?” The Masked Singer alum asked. “That doesn’t sound like something you would even say.” She continued, “I’m going to go on record that you didn’t say that… No matter how she phrases it, it has a negative connotation to it.”

Ok, but to be fair, Tori, when you defended yourself against the Jessica Alba claims, you said, “I have the world’s worst memory.” The Dory of 90210 went on to add that Jennie and Vanessa “weren’t that close”, whereas she and Vanessa worked together a bunch because their characters were cousins (but later…half-sisters? I dunno, I only watched the high school years). She adds that Vanessa seemed like a “kickass girl” who was very nice, professional, and well-liked.

Jennie finally got a word in edgewise and said that the alleged quote doesn’t sound like something she’d have said when she was younger, but she might say it now because it’s actually “sound advice.” Jennie added that people do indeed walk around thinking that everything’s about them. Tori added that she’s not sure what Vanessa was going through on the inside, and Jennie agreed:

“To her point, from what I sort of gleaned… she was in a bad place in her personal life, in her development. Like she was in that place where she took everything too personally”

Or maybe you two were just a couple of meanies? Yeah, my money’s on meanies.
