Lady Gaga’s Stolen Dogs Have Been Safely Returned! (UPDATE)

Tails are wagging and butts are wiggling all over Los Angeles today, and no, this isn’t a post about the Kardashian and Jenner sisters awkwardly modeling a follow-up to their Valentine’s Day collection spectacle in rayon and spandex. Dogs everywhere are rejoicing in four-legged solidarity, as two of their own, Lady Gaga‘s French bulldogs Gustav and Koji, have been safely returned to Gaga’s team after the harrowing dognapping and the shooting of their beloved dog walker and friend, Ryan Fischer.

Just to recap, Gaga was in Italy working on the movie Gucci when a car pulled up to Ryan and her three dogs out on their walk in Hollywood on Wednesday night. Miss Asia, pup #3, managed to escape the dognapping and find her way back on the street to the injured Ryan, while her doggie BFFs were whisked off in a car. Yesterday we learned that Ryan was shot once in the chest and not four times, as previously reported, and that he is expected to make a full recovery. TMZ has more on the two dogs’ safe return:

Lady Gaga’s beloved French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav have been returned … after her dog walker was shot in the chest trying to save the dogs in Hollywood.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ a woman turned the dogs in Friday night to an LAPD station. We’re told the dogs were unharmed and have been reunited with Gaga’s team.

Our sources say the woman appears to be a good samaritan and claims she found the dogs and brought them in. The LAPD is continuing to investigate, and the shooters are still on the loose.

Sources close to Gaga tell us she cried “tears of joy” when she got the news.

Capt. Jonathan Tippet of the LAPD confirmed to the Associated Press that the woman who brought in Gustav and Koji seems to be “uninvolved and unassociated” with the dognapping and that she contacted Gaga’s team after finding the Frenchies. The woman’s identity and the location of where she found the dogs will not be released at this time, because police are still investigating and trying to find the shooter.

Gaga, knowing Ryan was in good hands at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center but still beside herself with panic over her stolen pups, offered a $500,000, no-questions-asked reward for their safe return. The “no questions asked” part has elicited some criticism for how it could potentially motivate others to pull the same horrific stunt, but it has also been suggested that this approach could effectively draw out the criminals in order to cash in on their actions.

It is not yet known if the woman who found the dogs will receive the reward money. It is also unknown at this time if the attack specifically targeted Gaga’s dogs, or if it was more of a general French bulldog heist, which is sadly happening more and more.

What we do know is that Gustav and Koji, who totally sound like slightly humorless but highly-skilled luxury-spa massage therapists catering to an exacting clientele, are making all of us heave a huge sigh of relief right now. Hopefully, they’ll be reunited with their grateful human very soon, and the assholes who did this to Ryan and the pups will be located and taken to task over this massive load of awfulness.

UPDATE: TMZ says that the woman found Gustav and Koji tied to a pole in an alley, miles from where they were snatched up. And Lady Gaga is very grateful and will “gladly” give the woman the $500,000 reward.
