Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker, Ryan Fischer, Is Breathing On His Own And Expected To Recover

On Wednesday night, Ryan Fischer, friend, and dogwalker of Lady Gaga, was shot by a thief who stole two of Gaga’s dogs: Koji and Gustav. Her third dog, Miss Asia, luckily escaped. Asia will have to teach an anti-dog-napping course after this. Ryan is still in the hospital after the attack, but a friend confirmed to People that a friend confirmed Ryan is doing well and breathing on his own. Meanwhile, Gaga is still in Italy where she was preparing to film the movie Gucci, and sources say she’s “beside herself” over the whole thing.

Gaga has offered a $500,000 reward for the safe return of her pooches and she promises no questions asked. Gaga’s rep has said that anyone with information can email [email protected] Police say the attack happened at around 9:40 pm on Wednesday night in the 1500 block of North Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood. Home surveillance caught the whole attack and the video was released to help find the assholes:

While it’s unclear if Gaga will be returning from Rome, a source told Entertainment Tonight that she’s, of course, not doing great with her friend in the hospital and her dogs in the arms of dognappers:

“Lady Gaga is beside herself about this situation. Ryan is not only her dog walker, but also her friend. She is horrified that this happened.”

The source added that Gaga considers her dogs like “her babies.”

“She is completely devastated and sickened by this,” the source said. “She feels somewhat helpless because she is far away in Italy, but is doing everything she can and praying for Ryan, Koji and Gustav.”

It was previously reported that Ryan was shot four times, but LA Police Captain, Jonathan Tippet, told People that Ryan was shot once in the chest and is in stable condition, which is an upgrade from when he was in critical condition yesterday. He also detailed the suspects and confirmed this was only about the dogs since Ryan’s wallet wasn’t taken:

Tippett says there are currently two suspects. Both are believed to be Black men between the ages of 20-25, and both are at large. Fischer’s wallet was not stolen, and Tippet says the suspects “intended to rob the individual of the dogs.”

When asked by PEOPLE if Fischer will make a full recovery, Tippet responded, “I believe he will.”

Dr. Fred Pescatore, a friend and former client of Ryan’s, told People he spoke to Ryan and he was doing well and “breathing on his own now.”

“The thing he texted was not even about him. It was, “I miss you. I love you. Thank you,”” said Pescatore, who described his friend as a selfless, “amazing” person who was a gifted writer, artist and musician… “I’ve never met anyone [who doesn’t love him]. There’s nothing negative about that man.”

“I just want the world to know the man behind Lady Gaga’s dogs, and other people’s dogs. And this man deserves recognition. He was the one that was shot. He was the one protecting her dogs. And not enough people are focusing on that.”

TMZ adds that police are investigating whether or not it was a targeted attack. French bulldogs are in high demand and thefts of the pooch have been recently reported in L.A., but the surveillance footage shows the car pulling up right near Ryan, and since it was dark, the thieves may not have been able to see that the dogs were Frenchies. So the thieves could have known those were Gaga’s dogs. And Ryan reportedly told people in the neighborhood that he was taking care of Gaga’s dogs.

Well, whoever stole those dogs and basically tried to kill Ryan should hope the police catch them before the Little Monsters do. They don’t stop, and let’s be real: the police’s punishment would be more humane.
