Open Post: Hosted By The Frozen Pairs Of Pants That Are Calling Dibs On Parking Spaces In Chicago

Okay, but honestly, the pair of pants on the right is serving a coy, seductive leg pose. Or I’m just so hard up that even a damn pair of frozen pants look sexy to me? Definitely the second one.

Adam Selzer of Chicago decided to take the parking chair move to another level by putting frozen pairs of pants in parking spaces. Well, I guess I could see this shit working, because if someone was spooked as a child by the green pants in Dr. Seuss’ What Was I Scared Of?, they’d get spooked by these frozen pants and quickly drive their ass away.

Because the temperature in Chicago is currently ButtholeFreezingCold Fahrenheit, Adam, who works as a tour guide and author and lives in the neighborhood of West Ridge, decided to have a little fun and freeze pieces of clothing, including pants, by just soaking them in water and them leaving them outside. Adam then got the idea to use frozen pairs of pants to call dibs on parking spaces:

After Adam’s tweets got some attention, CBS Chicago did a little Zoom interview with him about doing the Chicago winter version of the extremely elegant jeans planter.

The parking space wars in any major city is some serious shit, so why do I have a feeling that the power lines of Chicago are about to covered with frozen pants after angry parking-spot-searching tricks throw them up there? Or the streets will be filled with ran-over frozen pants from people bulldozing into them with their car to get that sweet spot. “Phew! At least there wasn’t a person in the pants like last time!” is what they’ll say.
