Kristen Wiig Got Secret Married To Avi Rothman
Kristen Wiig is officially a married woman and none of us were the wiser. During an interview with Howard Stern to promote her new movie Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar, Kristen casually referred to her longtime lovah/fiancé since 2019, Avi Rothman, as her husband. Well, it should come as zero surprise to those of us familiar with classic schoolyard rhymes: First comes love, then comes secret twin babies, then comes a secret marriage in 2020 maybe! Well, good for Kristen. Was the marriage before or after the babies? We don’t know. Was there a wedding? We don’t know. Were there bridesmaids? I sure as hell hope not. That’s not a Bridesmaids reference, it’s a reference to me loathing the experience of being a bridesmaid. I pray that all my friends get secret-married from now on.
Kristen spilled it after Howard Stern asked her if she was happy:
Well, look. Besides the fact that we are where we are, and it’s, you know, hard to not feel so much of the shit and struggle that’s going on, in my home, I am very lucky about having these two babies and my husband and they make it all better. They’ve changed my life.
He also asked her every working mom’s favorite question: Is it possible to be a fully present mother while you work?
Well, right now I’m not going to an actual set, but because of all this stuff (motions to doing interview), I’m not as present as I would like to be, and it’s really hard, cuz I’m always convinced they’re gonna forget who I am when I’m gone for like a day. I have looked at my children and been like, “I am your mother. I am your mother.” I am nervous about actually leaving and going to work when that happens, cuz there’s something really nice about being home with them all the time. But they’re really young right now, so I feel like I have that as an advantage. They don’t really know when I’m not there. But that time is coming, and I’m gonna do my best to balance and they will come first.

Kristen, 47, and Avi, 48, have been together since 2017. This is Kristen’s second marriage. She was previously hitched to Hayes Hargrove from 2005 to 2008. After that, she dated Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti. Avi is an LA type (actor/writer/producer/director/photographer). Apparently, he’s been in a few web series and short films, loves yoga, and trained at the Groundlings, same as Kristen. He also appeared in Wonder Woman 1984 as “Black Gold Hotshot Aide”, and Kristen’s new Barb and Star movie as “Activities Guy Jeff”. Hmmm, I wonder how he got those jobs. Casting couch marital bed!
