Behold, The Movie And TV Trailers From Last Night’s Super Bowl

Yesterday was the Super Bowl, did you know? I am thankful to say I literally didn’t catch a single minute of Super Bowl LV. I knew there was not going to be a pop singer on a stripper pole, so I didn’t need to partake. But like every Super Bowl, the game was also about the commercials, and plenty of new movie trailers played last night, even though there’s a chance they may not even come out this year. Because as Entertainment Weekly pointed out, many of the movies that were advertised during last year’s Super Bowl still haven’t come out due to COVID-19. But hey maybe F9 will be a drive-in release?

The ninth Fast and the Furious movie delivered a 30-second teaser spot with a release date saying “In Theatres Soon.” LOL. Define soon. But I mean, I guess they could do a special Florida screening, we know no one there gives a fuck about a pandemic.

Nobody is a movie about an older dude who goes on a rampage when his “old life” and family-life collide and he needs to protect his wife and kids. Hollywood must be trying to turn Bob Odenkirk into the next Liam Neeson. But this trailer is brazen for claiming that the movie will only be available in theaters on April 2nd. They must think April Fool’s Day is the second.

Raya And The Last Dragon is like Mulan meets How To Tame Your Dragon. And like Mulan, you’ll be able to watch it on Disney+ but you’ll have to pay up with a “Premier Access Additional Fee.” They know when they do that people just pirate their shit, right?

M. Night Shyamalan is back with a movie called Old about a mysterious beach where people get old really, really quickly. If the Kardashians were in this, that beach wouldn’t affect them since plastic doesn’t dissolve through natural degradation.

The long-talked-about sequel to Coming To America is out March 3rd on Amazon Prime, and an ad for it aired during the game last night, but Amazon showed their cheap asses with a very, very short trailer.

There were also trailers for TV shows including The Falcon And The Winter Soldier for Disney+.

There was also a trailer for Paramount+’s Yellowstone prequel called Yellowstone: 1883:

Speaking of Paramount+, RuPaul made a millisecond-long appearance in a Super Bowl commercial for it:

And finally, here’s a trailer for CBS’ Clarice for those of you who want to get a taste of the sequel to Silence of The Lambs premiering this Thursday:

Honestly, if you want some more Silence of The Lambs-esque art then just read through Armie Hammer‘s DMs. They’re publicist-droppingly terrifying.
