Eva Mendes Says She’s Taking An Instagram Hiatus, But It’s NOT So She Can Recover From Plastic Surgery

Eva Mendes recently announced she’s be stepping away from Instagram for a minute or two. It wasn’t long before someone suggested it was because she was getting plastic surgery. But Eva put a stop to the surgery whispers by saying that no, it’s 100% because she wants to spend more time with her family.

This all started last weekend when Eva posted the following parenting suggestion about listening to your kids when they call your ass out. 46-year-old Eva writes that one of her daughters with 40-year-old Ryan Gosling (6-year-old Esmeralda Amada and 4-year-old Amada Lee) informed her that she’s on the phone too much. And as such, it was a wake-up call for her to step away from social media for a bit, in an attempt to be more present with her kids.

People magazine says that a part-time detective in the comments deduced that Eva’s promise of spending more Mom Time with her kids was just a cover for plastic surgery writing, “She’s had work done and I don’t think she’s happy with it.. she was beautiful without.” How they came to this conclusion, I do not know, as I don’t remember Eva posting a selfie that had me wondering why Jocelyn Wildenstein would hack Eva’s account. But Eva responded as follows:

“I’m actually taking time to really be present with my family so posting is not really a priority right now. I’m not sure why I’m answering you but here I go. I’m posting less because I really want to be present for my family. My little ones need me and posting takes up too much time. As far as getting work done, I’ll do that whenever I please. But no, that’s not the reason. The reason is I personally cannot juggle family and social media. So – big shocker – I choose family. Lotsa love to you out there. Some people can juggle both and that’s great but I can’t…Anyway speaking of not be able to juggle both, need to go be with them now. They’re in the other room and being too quiet. That’s never good.”

When one follower praised her for putting her family first, Eva responded: “Thanks for getting it.” Eva’s most recent post was a picture celebrating a friend’s birthday, which was posted two days ago:

Eva was seen a few days ago on a hike with her family, and she certainly didn’t look like Lady Cassandra from Doctor Who. And considering that she’s both spending time with her family, and not on her phone, it would appear as though Eva was probably telling the truth about why she would be MIA from IG.

Eva didn’t even need to dedicate so much time to explain to strangers why she was taking a social media break. All she had to say is: “I’m going to be looking at my phone less.” We’d all assume the reason is that she wanted to save her eyes for looking at her partner Ryan Gosling. Imagine living with Ryan Gosling and realizing that you missed seeing him stand shirtless in front of the fridge chugging orange juice from the container because you were too busy watching a Kardashian’s boring Instagram Story about a boring salad? You’d never be able to live with yourself.
