Rita Ora Reportedly Paid A Restaurant To Break COVID-19 Rules To Host Her Birthday Party
Rita Ora recently got shit because she didn’t quarantine in London after returning from Egypt, where she performed at a hotel in Cairo in November. Rita was supposed to self-quarantine for 14 days, but instead of doing that, she hosted her 30th birthday party at a London restaurant when large gatherings were not allowed. Rita later apologized, saying she thought it would be okay, called it an “inexcusable error of judgment,” and agreed to pay a $12,000 fine. But now The Sun says that Rita knew exactly that what she was doing was wrong. The restaurant manager admitted Rita paid him off to open up for her party. O-M-G! A rich privileged bitch flouting quarantine rules to have a party?! Has that happened before?!
Police have reportedly learned that Rita’s rep (yes, she has one) called the Casa Cruz restaurant and offered the manager, Scottie Bhattarai, £5,000 ($6,829 American dollars) to host the party and provide “drinks and nibbles.” Coronavirus was not on the menu but was always lurking around, I’m sure. Most of the staff for the restaurant had been furloughed because there was a LOCKDOWN, but Scottie went through with it–admitting it was “greedy.” Scottie told police he thought seven people would show up but Rita rolled in with almost 20, which included famous types like Cara Delevingne. The police were called and found the doors locked and the windows blacked out. Police also learned that Rita really didn’t want any kind of recordings of the event:
PC James Larner said windows were blacked out but he and a colleague peered through gaps to see people at tables with empty glasses. Doors were locked so they knocked on windows but got no response from those inside.
Mr Bhattarai’s statement says guests brought their own alcohol — Rita Ora Tequila.
The report adds: “Security for the entourage wanted no recordings of attendees — Rita etc, to be made, hence (Bhattarai) decided to turn off CCTV between 18.00 and 18.30.’’
TMZ adds that Scottie The Manager has been fired and that there’s a hearing to decide if the restaurant’s license should be revoked. Government officials are apparently not investigating Rita’s payoff.
There was no response from Rita’s rep about the new revelations which I feel like we all assumed in the first place, but I’m sure it will be another bullshit “apology” which means actually nothing as she slides another couple grand to someone to open up her yogalates class or whatever. I mean, between all the bribery and expensive coronavirus testing, rich people are really being hit hard by this pandemic.
