There’s A Rumor That “The Bodyguard” Remake Will Star Cardi B And Channing Tatum

A remake of the 1992 cinema classic, The Bodyguard, originally starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner has been talked about for like ten years. It has never materialized (thank god) and it’s been so long since people have been talking about remaking it, that Whitney Houston had time to rise from the dead. It may be time for the remake to rise as well, as the Instagram gossip account, DeuxMoi has heard from several tipsters who claim that it’s moving forward with Cardi B and Channing Tatum. That sound you hear is Whitney Houston screaming “HELL TO THE NOOO” at the top of her lungs from heaven over this rumor.

A remake of The Bodyguard has been in the works since 2010, and a couple of years ago, there was a rumor that Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth were going to star in it. But then Tessa said that the rumor was started by her a joke. Well, I’m sure there are a few people (aka everyone) who hopes this latest Bodyguard remake rumor is a joke too. A few tipsters tell DeuxMoi that the stripper-turned-rapper who was in Hustlers (where she stretched the limits of her acting chops by portraying a… stripper) will star The Bodyguard 2.0. One tipster had a little info on a possible plot:

Um… that description was a lot for me. Mostly because there’s an easy way for Cardi to find out if her bodyguards are felons. It’s called a “background check.”

If there’s truth to this rumor, The Bodyguard remake will be Cardi’s second leading role in a movie, the first being a movie called Assisted Living.

And if Hollywood insists on ruining another classic, they should at least do something different and flip the script. Channing should star as the sexy, global pop star and Cardi should be his bodyguard who takes bitches down with a flying shoe and some butth-destroying sharp nails.
