Lady Gaga Sang The National Anthem Dressed As “Hunger Games” Heidi

Well, Lady Gaga indeed sang the National Anthem as expected at the inauguration of 46th President of the United States Joe Biden and it went off without a hitch! She dressed in her most demure of evening gowns, took that mountaintop yodeling hairstyle out to the podium, and sang her ass off. She was no Whitney Houston, but hey, if they wanted Whitney I’m sure the inaugural committee could have rented her hologram.

Before she hit the stage to belt out Star-Spangled Banner, Gaga tweeted about how this moment has “great meaning” for her:

Gaga took all her passionate energy and hit that stage in a poofy red skirt and black top with a golden dove pin so big she must have stolen it from Dame Joan Collins‘ collection. But hey, if Gaga isn’t rocking eyeliner then it means she’s being serious:

Meanwhile, the Little Monsters spotted her boyfriend and current “love of her life,” Michael Polanski, at the event as well:

It was a good performance, but I am glad they managed to convince Gaga to not pull a stunt like lift her skirt at the end of the anthem and release doves wearing sequined American flag vests into the crowd. They would have gotten startled and shit all over the place! And the Biden administration already has another big mess to try to clean up.
