David Sutcliffe From “Gilmore Girls” Denies Being At The Capitol Attack, But Praises Those Who Were There
David Sutcliffe is famous for… well not really anything, but he was Rory’s dad/Lorelei’s ex on Gilmore Girls and he was in 37 episodes over the course of all 7 seasons. But hey, he also got to be in the Netflix mini-series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Well, add another accolade to his Wikipedia page, because he recently tweeted praise for the “patriots” who stormed the U.S. Capitol. Yikes, he and Brian Littrell should follow each other on Parler. But wait, not so fast! David may have just been kidding. Honestly sir? In this political climate?
Entertainment Weekly says that David took to Twitter to clear up the misconception that he was at the siege on the Capitol that left five people dead and has so far led to plentiful arrests and charges. Like Chuck Norris before him, David had to explain that he was not present at the riots but he would have been “proud to share a smoke with this great Patriot” and shared a video of some dipshit smoking weed in the Capitol Building. How badass! His next video will be smoking weed from his federal prison cell.
There are rumors circulating that I "stormed the capital." 🤔
Not true – though I would have been proud to share a smoke with this great Patriot! https://t.co/SOG70tYIt0

David’s Twitter definitely suggests he’s a MAGA since he’s liked tweets saying “Men’s politics is best for the world” and one that slammed “the authoritarian left.” And he also suggested in a tweet on January 10th that after Donald Trump dies, he will then become “a symbol of rebellion, and replaces Che Guevara on t-shirts.”
Entertainment Weekly reached out to David for a comment and didn’t get a response, but David suggested on Twitter that he was only kidding:

I’m sure he’s not the only MAGA from Gilmore Girls. Taylor Doose is definitely a Trump supporter and that “anti-wall” stance was to throw us off his MAGA scent:
