Kirstie Alley Called Twitter’s Suspension Of Donald Trump “Slavery”

I didn’t know it was possible to be a member of two different cults simultaneously yet Kirstie Alley has proved that anything is possible if you’re dumb enough. Back in October, Kirstie let it be known that she was going to vote for Donald Trump, thus pledging her allegiance to the MAGA movement and embracing all that comes with it. She called Nancy Pelosi EVIL, and quoted QAnon’s now-suspended Twitter Page saying “WHERE WE GO ONE WE GO ALL *American flag emoji* I like it.” Yet, after last Wednesday’s insurrection (look at me, casually mentioning an insurrection when it should be The Kid’s Choice Awards or some shit. What a year[s]) Kirstie had an opportunity to distance herself from the mob but instead chose to lean on her all caps key and assert that Twitter’s decision to suspend Trump’s Twitter account was “SLAVERY” and that “BIG TECH” now holds “the keys to the chains.” Please forgive her. It must be so confusing holding competing ideologies that are both rooted in science fiction, especially considering the fact that one of them probably involves literal slavery. And let’s not forget the fact that she is also, apparently, very, very dumb.

Kirstie has since deleted her “this is SLAVERY” tweet, but here’s what she said, via Page Six:

Three months after endorsing Donald Trump for President, actress Kirstie Alley is calling out Twitter for permanently suspending his account.

“ALL people should be concerned is the KEY here,” she tweeted Saturday morning. “It’s true, the average person will no longer have a platform to speak their views. This is called SLAVERY. This censorship proves BIG TECH now holds the keys to the chains.”

Look, we can’t expect a woman who dismissed the scientific contributions of Stephen Hawking by saying “You had a good go at it..thanks for your inputthe day his death was announced to have a nuanced understanding of the difference between Twitter banning a dangerous would-be fascist with an army of rabid lunatics willing to die for him and “the average person.” Nor should we expect a high ranking Scientologist to know the difference between slavery and a free market economy. Kirstie probably thinks Shelly Miscavige hasn’t been able to come to the phone for the last 13 years because she’s still taking a nap.

Despite the backlash Kirstie’s repugnant comparison received on Twitter, she still had a few more asinine comparisons to share, solidifying her reputation and as an all caps ASS CLOWN.

The decision to ban Trump came after Wednesday’s US Capitol siege, in which five people were killed when thousands of pro-Trump supporters unhappy with the election stormed Congress. For Alley, the DC riot was not enough to warrant Trump’s account be shut down, comparing it to a Portland Black Lives Matter protests that took place last year.

“Remember this,” Alley continued. “Remember all the fires, killing, terrorizing, destruction and yes, at FEDERAL buildings? It was HIDEOUS & ILLEGAL.Remember how these criminals got FUNDED & bailed out? NO ONE WAS OUSTED FROM PLATFORMS including politicos who ENDORSED the VIOLENCE. Remember?”

She later clarified that she wasn’t excusing the behavior of DC rioters, adding, “Breaching the CAPITOL was a treasonous criminal terrifying act and those people should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I do not condone VIOLENCE, TREASON, CRIMINAL ACTS OR DESTRUCTION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY. This should suffice as my stance on Jan. 6th.”

And reader, it did. If only because we do not care to know more. Still, since Kirstie’s not an enslaved person just yet (as far as we know), BIG TECH has done nothing to stop her from further making an ass out of herself.

See, it turns out free speech is alive and well. And I say this now, from my “findertips” to Tom Cruise’s ear— “Thanks, BIG TECH *eye roll emoji*
