Open Post: Hosted By Mabyl, The Pussy Who Talks In Her Sleep

We ended 2020 with a doggy who runs in his sleep. We’re startin’ 2021 with a tabby who talks in her sleep. Hard! Hitting! Journalism! This furry baby’s name is Mabyl, she’s a greyish tabby, she’s from Mother Russia, she’s the cutest thing walking, and the sleepiest thing talking.

Mabyl’s owner writes:

“I woke up and my cat Maybl came to sleep with me. It has a strange habit: it reacts to my cough or some sounds and enters into dialogue. In the video you can see how it tried to keep up a conversation with me even through a dream.”

Here’s Mabyl chirping away while she slumbers:

What could be happening in that dream? Did she see a squirrel? Was her momma shaking a bag of Temptations? Or was there a particularly jumpy hair tie flitting around the floor? Sadly, we will never know. Unleeessss… no? Dr. Doolittle’s a fictional character? Alrighty, never mind then.

I’d also like to compliment Mabyl on her choice to fall asleep on her back. There’s nothing more adorable than a kitty cat’s exposed belly. Mabyl seems like the type who would be cool with you burrowing your face in his tummy fur, but I maybe wouldn’t wanna try that move during a terrifying nightmare. Cuz then I’d be wearing a kitty cat hat that was fastened to my scalp with claws. Yes, it’s chic, but so much blood!
