Jonathan Van Ness Reveals He Got Married This Year

January 4, 2021 / Posted by:

My resolution for 2021 was to exclusively write positive, non-snarky, good news. So there’s a very high chance this will be my last post of the year. Here goes! Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness revealed he married his “best friend” Mark Peacock in the past year. Awww! He broke the news in the caption of one of those end of 2020 reflection posts on the ‘Gram, writing, “I got married to my best friend & have a loving partner to continue building my life with.” He included a picture of himself and Mark Peacock wearing white and holding hands.

Here’s the post:

A couple of days later JVN posted again, giving more details on how the couple had only just started dating when Mark Peacock joined his family and friends on an Amsterdam trip in October 2019:

Mark Peacock’s Instagram bio says he puts the “gin in ginger” and was born in London. He also posted about his year, his marriage to Jonathan, and moving to America for lurrrv:

The other Queer Eyes all commented on JVN’s post (via People):

“Yay!! That was a hard secret to keep!! 🤣 love you Mark and Johnny! ♥️,” wrote Bobby Berk as Karamo Brown added, “Yay! We can finally celebrate it publicly!! So happy for you!!!!!! One of the most Beautiful couples in the world. Love you & Happy New year @jvn ♥️.”

Tan France noted: “Happy New Year, Jackaaay! I love you. Here’s hoping next year is so much better, and that we can finally celebrate your marriage ♥️”

Antoni Porowski also commented on the post, playfully highlighting another life update, “wait you got a dog?!?!?!”

Was Antoni actually “playfully highlighting” another life update with that dog comment, or was he really in the dark about Jonathan’s new canine? Hmmm, looks like we know who the odd man out in the Queer Eye crew is! You know what they say: four’s company, four plus a QuĂ©bĂ©cois “chef” is a crowd. Oh goddammit, I ended on a negative note! Welp, there goes my goal for 2021 positivity.
