Tyrese Gibson And His Wife Samantha Are Getting Divorced

I’m so glad that Tyrese Gibson finally squashed his beef with The Rock earlier this month. It sounds like Tyrese could really use a friend with a guest house he could crash in. Because Tyrese and his wife of a little less than 4 years, Samantha Lee Gibson, have announced that they’re calling it quits and getting a divorce.
Entertainment Tonight says that Tyrese and Samantha released a joint statement yesterday announcing they’re split. Everyone needs something to occupy their time in quarantine, and maybe Tyrese and Samantha have been occupying theirs with journaling. Because they wrote a really long statement on Instagram about splitting up:
Tyrese and Samantha got married on Valentine’s Day in 2017, and they share one child, a 2-year-old daughter named Soraya. Tyrese also has a 13-year-old daughter named Shayla that he shares with his first wife, Norma Mitchell. That custody fight was messy messy messy for many years, with Norma accusing Tyrese of child abuse and being afraid he might abduct their daughter. Tyrese also accused Norma of marrying him for a green card. But that statement released by Tyrese and Samantha sounds like things won’t be nearly as hostile as his first divorce. Especially since it was posted alongside a picture of them kissing and making nice? Well, there’s a chance the energy in 2021 could get messy for them, as Tyrese has already started with the dramatics.
After their divorce post went up, Tyrese posted a follow-up on his own, featuring several clips of himself at home with his family engaging in some special moments, like the first time his daughter Soraya walked. In his caption, Tyrese said that “Black families and marriages are under attack” and that he prays Samantha leaves the door open to a possible reconciliation. So Tyrese is dropping hints that this divorce was Samantha’s idea.
Since Tyrese obviously wants Samantha back, why did he refer to himself as “King Gibson” and not refer to her as Queen Samantha? Show some respect, Tyrese. We’re talking about a woman who dressed up in black with Tyrese to attend the “funeral” for the death of the accusation he was a bad parent. Someone that willing to participate in such a shameless stunt deserves the respect that a fake Instagram comment title provides.
