Kirk Cameron Once Again Violated California’s Coronavirus Lockdown Rules With A Christmas Caroling Event
Ugh. This moron again. Kirk Cameron, proud Christian Covidiot (a term my mom just discovered and LOVES), hosted another Christmas caroling event last night. Second one in a week. Most of the participants were not wearing masks, and it doesn’t look like many were social distancing. The gathering was once again held outside The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks, California, right next to a COVID-19 testing center. How convenient. Kirk chose to throw this event despite (aka because of) California’s recent surge of coronavirus cases which left hospitals filled to capacity.
Before the event, Kirk posted a Facebook story in which he said a local physician had called to remind him to “use common sense if you are going to be gathering with us tonight” (via Page Six):
“He recommends putting a mask over your face and socially distancing according to family groups,” Cameron said, adding that is fine if attendees “feel better doing that.”
But he said he is also “on board with” The Great Barrington Declaration, an open letter demanding governments pursue “herd immunity” in regards to COVID-19 — found to contain fake names among the “experts” as well as the general public.
“These are epidemiologists and biostatisticians from around the world … who say, basically, that there is immunity in community and there is great desolation and devastation in isolation,” he said. “Use common sense. You’re in charge of your health care and you’re in charge of your Christmas.”
Immunity in community? Biostasticians? Common sense? None of that tracks. During the event, Kirk added some selfies and event footage to his Instagram stories. He donned a Santa beard, which covered most of his lower face except the parts that contract COVID (nose, mouth). Reports say there were about 75-100 attendees of all ages, although this Twitterer guessed there were 200 people. She filmed the “protest” and “counter-protestors” who objected to the gathering:

One masked woman (the only sane one there) used a bullhorn to list the names of those who have died from coronavirus:

Kirk ignored this and made a speech about his Christian convictions, how Christmas trees aren’t actually anti-Jesus, and more stuff about being pro-choice (the not-wearing-masks pro-choice, not the abortion kind):
We’re here tonight, and wanting you to use wisdom and common sense, as you make decisions for your own health care and for those that you love. And choose wisely and do the right thing as you weight the risk and the rewards of coming here this evening. Because we don’t want people to be sick. Does that make sense?
I know we all screamed “NO!” in unison, but the “protesters” in attendance used their free speech and opted for “YES!” Here’s that video:

I hope there is a God, so when Kirk finally arrives at those pearly gates, Saint Peter can thumb through his old Instagram stories (they never expire in heaven) and go, “Oh shit, what’s this? At THEE Oaks mall? During the height of the pandemic? On Christmas? Ha! K, bitch, tell the Devil I say HEEEEY!” Then he’ll pull a glittery lever that opens a trap door beneath Kirk’s feet and it’s bye bye for eternity, Mike Seaver!
