A Dog Walker Claims They Caught Pastor Carl Lentz Having Sex With A “Younger Celebrity”
Some of the more notable celebrity parishioners of Hillsong Church might be dropping like flies, but that doesn’t mean Pastor Carl Lentz can’t find his name in the papers for his close celebrity relationships, like he was used to, pre-scandal. For example, his name recently pinged Google alerts everywhere after a dog walker came forward and claimed to have caught him with a “young celebrity.” Okay yes, I can see now how that’s the sort of seen-with-a-celebrity headline he wouldn’t be so enthused about.
Carl was relieved of his sermon-writing duties last month when it was revealed he was guilty of “moral failures,” which turned out to be church talk for cheating on his wife, Laura Lentz. One alleged pandemic affair turned into several alleged affairs. Carl and his family recently relocated from New York City to Los Angeles, with a little financial help from his friend Tyler Perry, who allegedly put them up in a $16,000 a month Manhattan Beach rental home. Carl is reportedly going to be seeking treatment for depression and “pastoral burnout.”
A Brooklyn dog walker named Lee Martin, who worked for several years for the Lentz family, went to The Sun with a story that happened to him while he was working for Carl. Lee says that one day in November 2014, he went into Carl’s apartment to get the dog, which he always did, and didn’t think anyone was home. Oh, how wrong he was. Carl was there with a “young celebrity,” and they were making the kind of sounds you might make if you were helping a friend move a heavy box of Bibles. Except they likely weren’t doing that, according to Lee:
“So I took it that no one was there and went in and got their dog on a leash. And as I went to exit the apartment, I walked past the bedroom and I heard sex noises – it definitely sounded like two people were having sex. I was kind of shocked but I do walk into stuff like this quite a lot. I knew that I wasn’t supposed to be there because nobody would be making those kinds of noises if they knew someone was around.”
Lee claims he got a good look at who Carl was with behind closed doors because they ended up following Lee out of the apartment.
“When I walked out of the door, I accidentally let the door close behind me too loud. And so by the time I made it to the elevator, Carl and the star were right behind me. He didn’t look me in the eye, and didn’t talk to me or acknowledge me, which was very unlike him. They both seemed kind of flushed, like they had been having sex. I didn’t see into the bedroom but I know what I heard and I believe what I heard was Carl and the celebrity having sex with each other.”
The Sun refused to name the celebrity but said there’s a significant age gap between the two. In 2014, Carl would have been about 30 years old.
As for why Lee decided to come forward with his story, he says he always got a manipulative, “grooming” vibe from Pastor Carl.
“I always had a weird vibe about him and then after I heard the allegations against him and watched videos of him it started to hit me that maybe I need to come forward with this story to help other people who might have had similar experiences.”
Also, Lee thinks that Pastor Carl is a weird dude who does weird stuff. Like how he allegedly showed up for work one day to walk the dog, and a totally new dog was there in its place.
“For a number of months, they didn’t have me to walk their dogs – they traveled a lot and things. Then when I started walking their dog again I saw they had got rid of their old dog and got a new one that looked similar. But when I asked them, they said it was the same dog. I knew it wasn’t – it was just weird behavior.”
Maybe if anyone presses Pastor Carl about Lee’s story, he can use play the same angle he played with the dog. “Oh no, Lee’s eyes must have been playing tricks on him again – he must have just thought he saw me with a young celebrity. It wasn’t the celebrity you thought! It was a totally different, not famous person. So let’s drop it.”
