Open Post: Hosted By The Man Who Won $75,000 After Suing His Parents For Throwing Out His Porn Collection

42-year-old David Werking just won up to $75,000 after he sued his parents, Beth and Paul, for destroying a bunch of his porn. $25,000 worth of porn to be exact. Where did the extra fifty grand cum from? Treble damages, which triples the amount David receives, because apparently this was a cruel and deliberate act of destruction of a prized collection.

Here’s the story: David, He of Many Pornos, got divorced in 2016 and moved into his parent’s home in Glen Haven, Michigan. After a few months, he moved to Muncie, Indiana. Upon his arrival, David noticed he was missing twelve (!!!) boxes of pornographic films, magazines, and sex toys. Poppa Paul immediately fessed up, and emailed his son (via Huffington Post):

“Frankly, David, I did you a big favor by getting rid of all this stuff.”

In other emails, he told his son he was shocked by many of the scenes in the collection, which he claimed depicted incestuous sexual relationships, sex with minors and animals, sexual assault and slavery.

Beth and Paul kept some of the porn “just in case”, and a review of those items by a Michigan sheriff’s department found zero child pornography. In another email to his son, Paul wrote:

“That you would buy and watch films depicting such violence is beyond the pale. I have no words to express the depth of my shock and disappointment. Believe it or not, one reason for why I destroyed your porn was for your own mental and emotional health. I would have done the same if I had found a kilo of crack cocaine.”

Welp, crack is wack, but porno is…fine, I guess. Cuz the courts sided with David, and he and his parents have until February to file written submissions on the damages. Yikes. Will thousands of middle-aged men file suit against their moms for trashing their Playboys back in the eighties? “It was stuffed under my mattress for a reason, Mother!”
