Gal Gadot Says That Her Experience With Joss Whedon “Wasn’t The Best One”

Gal Gadot spoke to The Los Angeles Times to promote Wonder Woman 1984 and during her talk with them she mentioned the whole Joss Whedon investigation being done by Warner Bros. As a member of the Justice League, she too was asked about Joss’ alleged asshole behavior on-set. And guess what? She admitted she had some issues with him too. Welp, no need to Lasso of Truth anyone here, seems everyone is freely down to say Joss Whedon is kind of an asshole.

Ray Fisher, who played Cyborg in Justice Leaguehas been very vocal about how Joss Whedon created a toxic environment during filming. And after Joss stepped away from his own HBO show, The Nevers, Ray took a victory lap claiming it had to be related to the Warner Bros investigation. Gal admitted that during the filming of Justice League she had issues with Joss too:

Although she declined to elaborate further, Gadot acknowledged she had her own “experience” with the director, which was resolved to her satisfaction. “I’m happy for Ray to go out and speak his truth,” says Gadot. “I wasn’t there with the guys when they shot with Joss Whedon–I had my own experience with [him], which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it. But I’m happy for Ray to go up and say his truth.”

And she told Variety that she was interviewed for the investigation but wasn’t sure what their findings were. But Warner Bros. released this statement about the investigation last week:

WarnerMedia said in a statement on Dec. 11 that it had concluded its investigation into the set of Justice League. “WarnerMedia’s investigation into the Justice League movie has concluded and remedial action has been taken,” the statement read.

WarnerMedia has not disclosed its findings or what the “remedial action” entails. Gadot said she hasn’t been told anything. “I don’t know what that means either,” she said, adding, “I’m curious to know what’s going to be the outcome.”

Well, I’m sure the outcome was Joss losing his HBO show and getting a slap on the wrist. The Los Angeles Times also asked Gal about giving everyone a severe case of the cringes with that tone-deaf Imagine video she did with other famous and rich people at the beginning of the pandemic. The hate that video got didn’t really get to Gal:

“Sometimes you want to do a good deed and it’s just not the right good deed. I had the best intentions, and I wanted to share my love and to show that we’re in this together and we’re all one. And sometimes it just doesn’t work. I have such a thick skin from being in this industry since I was 18. I know you can never please everyone and someone is always going to have something to say. So I’m just going to speak my truth and be authentic to me. That’s all I can do.”

To get more out of Gal about Joss Whedon’s crap behavior, The Los Angeles Times’ writer should’ve asked her, “So on a scale of zero to your Imagine video, how bad did Joss Whedon act on-set?
