Open Post: Hosted By The Runaway Pig Of Philadelphia

December 12, 2020 / Posted by:

There was a brazen but aimless pig on the loose on the streets of Philadelphia, and no, it wasn’t Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf. According to 6 ABC, Northeast Philadelphia was graced with far more porcine glamour on the hoof than it was able to bear on Wednesday night, and a Good Samaritan brought the dazzling display of free-wheeling piggy cuteness to an end by putting the four-legged little fugitive in the hands of the Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT).

via 6 ABC:

A little piggy is safe and sound at ACCT Philly on Wednesday night after being rescued by animal protection officers. A good Samaritan found him running loose in Northeast Philadelphia with a rope embedded in his body. That person removed the rope and called ACCT for help. The pig, who’s been named Ramen, is being well cared for.

The embedded rope is a bizarre load of animal-abusing WTF in this story, and it’s unknown how it found its way into Ramen’s body, but happily, it’s gone now and Ramen will soon be living his best piggy life in a suitable rescue and not as the crispy bits in a BLT.
