Living a life of hypocrisy and lies can really take it out of a person and Pastor Carl Lentz is tired. People reports that Carl is checking himself into an outpatient treatment facility that specializes in treating depression, anxiety, and “pastoral burnout,” which is a clever metaphor for what happens when the shepherd does tractor donuts in the sheep field before whipping his dick out and fucking the flock. Though Pastor Carl has been laid low (high, sideways and every other kind of way, if the higher-ups at Hillsong are correct), The Sun reports that, thanks to Tyler Perry’s largess, Pastor Carl’s fall from grace will be softened by Madea’s ample bosom.
According to The Sun, after getting fired from his job as the head pastor at Hillsong’s New York City ministry for “moral failings” (more like penile flailings!), Carl and his wife, Laura Lentz, moved their three kids from New York to a $16,000 a month house in Manhattan Beach, California. That’s where we found him a couple of days ago, shirtless on a beach with his hair in cornrows (what won’t He do!).
Ben, Joel & Brian Houston all have luxury homes in SoCal. Now Lentz is there too. Riding a different $2k e-bike & corn-rowing his hair, Carl is living the high-life, sunning himself on beaches he can ride a bike to. While his flock is left shepherdless, reeling from betrayal. pic.twitter.com/7fs2bgpvax

Now, how can a disgraced, out of work preacher afford such a lifestyle? Friends in high places, that’s how. No, not quite that high. God stopped laying hands on Carl right after he made sure his cornrows would hold. It was Tyler Perry.
Following the ex-church leader’s alleged months-long affair with Ranin Karim being exposed by The Sun, Carl and his wife-of-17-years – along with their three kids – moved from New York City to California.
Multiple sources revealed to The Sun that Tyler, 51, shelled out money upfront to cover a six-month lease to house the Lentz family in the posh $4million property.
The 5,000-square-foot, five bedroom pad costs $16,000 a month and is just steps from the ocean in Manhattan Beach.
In addition to paying the $96,000 price tag, the Madea actor has been lending emotional support to his pal.
One insider said that Carl, 36, has been “leaning” on the movie mogul throughout this ordeal as he is one of the few people who has not cut ties with the ex pastor.
A source says that though they are rarely photographed together, “Tyler has been friends with Carl and his wife Laura for years and is sticking by them and their kids during this difficult time.” Here’s Tyler in 2018 reading Carl’s book In The Moment which according to Amazon, answers the question “How do you maintain your values—and pass them onto your children—in a society that worships money and sex and fame?”
Answer: Fake it! However, as Carl’s current mental health struggles suggest, faking it has its downsides. According to People:
A source close to the former Hillsong pastor tells PEOPLE that Lentz will be seeking “treatment at an outpatient facility that specializes in depression, anxiety, and pastoral burnout,” following his recent infidelity.
“He wants to be better for his family and is dedicated to doing the work,” the source says of Lentz. “His family is supporting him and hopes their privacy will be respected on this journey.”
“He has no ill will towards the church and recognizes that they needed to take some course of action to address his missteps,” the source adds.
How very Christian of him!
