Jennifer Lopez Says She’s Never Used Botox Because She’s “Not That Person”

Jennifer Lopez, who is rich and famous with wealthy person skin thanks to expensive dermatologists and top-of-the-line skincare technology, is the latest celebrity to release a beauty line meant to have us thinking if we use it we’ll look like Jennifer Lopez. Sweetie, the only way I could look like Jennifer Lopez would be if I died and came back to life as Jennifer Lopez. And while promoting her new skincare line, Jenny From The Block let us know that she’s the anti-Nicole Kidman since she’s never had Botox and never will, because she’s “not that person.” But if you are looking for that person, her name is Samantha Barbash.

JLo Beauty, which will be released on January 1st, is the newest beauty collection coming out from a celebrity who absolutely just has to cash in on the new newest make-money-quick industry. Celebrity skin crap is the new celebrity stank (aka perfumes). Jennifer launched the brand’s Instagram with help from a video of her SANS FARDS:

Page Six says she spoke with editors on a call about her new beauty line and said she’s a Botox-free beauty:

“I haven’t ever had Botox to this day. I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing. I’m more about a natural approach to skincare … but I want [my products] to work. I want the hyaluronic acid in there. I want the things that are going to help, because I don’t want to have to go to the needles at some point. I’m not saying one day I won’t, but I haven’t yet.”

Jennifer said that in her early twenties, a boyfriend’s dermatologist suggested some Botox and she knew it would not be the vibe:

“She said, “Did you know you have a little line right here? We should start Botox.” I mean, I had to be 23 years old, right? And I was like, “I’m going to pass. I didn’t like needles anyway, but the boyfriend’s like, “Yeah, you should start it. I do that.” I was like, “No, thank you.” And I just wonder what would’ve happened to me if I would’ve started Botox at 23, what I would look like right now. My face would be a totally different face today.”

Well, just keep watching Khloe Kardashian–I’m sure her slot machine-face will land on this alternate-universe Jennifer Lopez one day. Jennifer also swears by olive oil and sunscreen:

“It’s a secret I’ve used over the years because it really does work.. One of the big things I would encourage everybody to do from the time they’re 15 years old, even younger, is wear sunscreen every day. That’s a big skincare secret that people kind of do but don’t do. They use moisturizers, but they don’t put on sunscreen every day. That is something I have done from that time I was 22 years old.”

Allure gave a review of a few products in the JLo Beauty line. A lot of the products have names like “That Hit Single” or “That Glow” or “That Inner Love” so she’s going for something but I don’t know what “that” is. And she talked about how she wanted to release skincare products because everyone always compliments her skin. If Jlo wanted to keep it real (and she claims she’s real) when someone asked her about her skincare tips, she’d say, “Be rich, bitch!” But Jlo wants to stay rich so she’s selling a $50 eye cream instead.

Well, I guess we’ll just wait and see how this new beauty brand shakes out. But I bet the beauty YouTubers will be pissed that another celeb is coming for their corner. I can’t wait until James Charles throws a bitch fit when he doesn’t get a PR package.

Here’s JLo showing off the products that she totally uses:
