Megan Thee Stallion Called Out Tory Lanez On Her New Album (And Released A Cameo-Packed Video For “Body”)
Despite there being hospital staff that can attest to removing bullet fragments from Megan Thee Stallion’s foot, Tory Lanez has insisted that he would never have intentionally shot her, going so far as to releasing an album in which he called her a liar. Megan has just released her own album, titled Good News. It’s probably safe to say more people will end up listening to Megan’s album, on account of her being arguably the more popular of the two. And that’s (ahem) bad news for Tory because Megan has accused him of being her attacker in a song called “Shots Fired.”
The lyrics for “Shots Fired” take no time in establishing Megan’s position on the situation, which is that – according to her – Tory absolutely shot her. Megan has also accused Tory of trying to silence her with hush money, although she doesn’t mention any payola shadiness in the song. Even though Tory’s been charged in the attack, Megan doesn’t name him by name. But she does take some metaphorical shots at a certain unnamed short man who shot her. via Genius:

And here’s all the creative ways Megan came up with to call Tory a shorty (for the record, Megan is 5’10, and Tory is 5’3). She calls him Puss in Boots, Lil, and my personal favorite, a side plate of shrimp, due to it being both creative and for making me hungry. Megan also appeared to have called out her friend Kelsey Nicole, who was with her on the night of the shooting. Although it sounds like whatever friend Megan is calling out in “Shots Fired” is more friendly with the shooter at this point:

Megan also addresses the accusation from trolls who say she was a “snitch” for naming Tory as her shooter, which she denies, because well, it’s not snitch behavior to name your abuser.
But it’s not all songs about Tory. Megan also has a song titled “Body,” which could be the spiritual sequel to “WAP.” Because let’s face it, I’m sure we all wanted to hear more about the body attached to the WAP, right? Megan also dropped the video for “Body,” and there’s a bunch of famous faces that appear in it like Taraji P. Henson, Jordyn Woods, Blac Chyna, Daren Kyle, Asian Doll, Bernice Burgos, and Maliibu Miitch. Megan says she wanted to showcase a multitude of bodies. via Rolling Stone:
She discussed embracing “all body shapes” and how the video represents a lot of strong women. “Got some sexy bodies in the video,” the rapper said, describing the clip on Instagram prior to its release. In the Colin Tilley-directed clip, she delivers on that promise. She and a group of women confidently groove on a futuristic set and on a spotlit stage.
And if you’ll allow me to be petty for a moment here, it’s very interesting that she chose to showcase two “villains” from the Keeping Up With the Kardashians universe, Jordyn Woods and Blac Chyna. As you may recall, on the night Megan was allegedly shot by Tory Lanez, they had recently come from a house party that Kylie Jenner was also in attendance at. And now Megan is giving two women that Kylie has had history with a semi-starring role in her latest video. I’m sure it’s nothing, especially since Kylie appeared in the video for “WAP.” Although that wasn’t Megan’s choice. Again, it’s probably nothing. I’m sure Megan totally thought to ask a Kardashian or two if they wanted to appear in the video, but it’s just so hard to rely on them. What variation of their body will they even bring on the day of the shoot?
