Naomi Campbell Shares Article Suggesting Tyra Banks Was The Mean Girl In Their Long-Time Feud
The Tyra Banks Is The Worst discourse just got another layer added to it as Naomi Campbell–the longtime nemesis of Tyra–stirred the pot by sharing an article accusing Tyra of being the mean girl in their dynamic. Naomi threw a phone at someone’s head and Tyra’s America’s Next Top Model makeovers were exercises in cruelty. Which do we think is worse?
We know that Tyra Banks loves to talk about her feud with Naomi Campbell. The two were young models in the industry at the same time and as two of the few Black women making a real career in modeling back then, there was some friction. Naomi doesn’t seem to remember or care, but Tyra has long-claimed Naomi made her cry every night and was so mean and tried to get her axed from the industry but Tyra rose like a phoenix to become Tookie De La Crème! Well, maybe we have the script flipped?!
E! News says that on Tuesday Naomi took to Instagram to share an article to her 9.8 million followers in her story without any comment. The article from The Things was called “Here’s Why Fans Are Starting To Think Tyra Banks Is The Real Mean Girl, Not Naomi Campbell.”
She, of course, ended up deleting the story but obviously, we had already got the full effect. And people loved it.

But coincidentally on Tuesday, Naomi was at Vogue‘s Forces Of Fashion panel and talked about how people in the industry try to “provoke” her. Do not provoke Naomi Campbell! It’s like watching videos of people fucking with exotic animals at a zoo and then they lunge at the windows–what did you expect?!
“Anger is an emotion. And, you know, I’ve lived my life in front of the world and have made many mistakes. I own my mistakes. I’ve learned from my mistakes. I’ve grown up, I’ve matured to where I am today. I’m still a work in progress. But my understanding of things, the way I react to things, the way I don’t react is what it’s about today. It comes with the territory that people want to provoke you and you have to roll with the punches. But… as everyone knows, I’m not going to be walked over.”
I don’t know if these two should battle it out to see who’s the meanest. But I think we should trust Naomi here. I mean she testified at the trial of an international war criminal, so she knows a mean person when they give her blood diamonds she sees one. Tyra has yet to respond but I’m sure on the next episode of Dancing With The Stars there will be an impromptu 20-minute interruption where Tyra comes out clad in a bejeweled leotard and says: “I titled this project: Naomi,” and then dramatically fake sobs while she interpretively dances and foams at the mouth.
