Karlie Kloss Is Reportedly Pregnant
There must be something in the water, because yet another made by a model type will soon be upon us. Hot on the heels of fellow model type Emily Ratajkowski’s pregnancy announcement (but far less arsty), People magazine is reporting that Karlie Kloss is pregnant. Taylor Swift better pull out her vintage embroidery basket (you know it’s vintage), and get to work on another little blanket. You know, if the current status of what remains of their friendship is at a point where new baby gift exchange would be expected.
Karlie hasn’t confirmed the news herself, like by posting a picture of herself to Instagram, modeling some stylish custom-made Christian Siriano maternity couture. We’re getting this news second-hand from People, via a source who claims to know what’s up. The source says that 28-year-old Karlie and her 35-year-old husband of two years, Joshua Kushner, are expecting a baby. The source says:
“Karlie is overjoyed to be expecting her first child in 2021. She will be the most amazing mother.”
This will be the first baby for both Karlie and Josh, who have been together for about eight years. We don’t know anything else about this alleged baby. The only thing Karlie has confirmed recently is that she probably didn’t vote for her brother-in-law’s father-in-law:
I also cannot even begin to assume what kind of a name will be picked out for this baby. Both Karlie and Josh come from one of those families where the siblings all have the same initials (something I too can relate to), but Karlie has the unique distinction of also having a family that pulled some Kardashian-level alliteration with all the kids. I don’t know if they’ll do the same with their own kid. But please, avoid any more multiple Ks. I feel like that letter is quickly going out of style.
And speaking of Karlie’s in-laws, who are Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, in case you didn’t know. Karlie now has a perfect excuse to avoid dinner with the Kushners for the next little while! She can explain that there’s no way she wouldn’t feel anything but sick, and that she’d likely be spending every second of dinner trying not to barf. “Okay, but what does that have to do with being pregnant?” says anyone who would rather chew glass than have dinner with the Kushners.
