After Saying That She’s Raising Her Baby On Her Own, Iggy Azalea Clarifies That Playboi Carti Is Involved
30-year-old Iggy Azalea announced that she gave birth to a son back in June. Everyone believed she had her baby with her boyfriend at the time, 23-year-old rapper Playboi Carti, who she started dating in 2018. Later, Iggy revealed that she named her son Onyx. Well, Iggy has more revelations for us. Yes, Playboi is the father. No, they aren’t together and Iggy is a single mother. Yes, Playboi contributes to raising the baby. Yes, she will raise her son as culturally ambiguous as possible. Okay, I’m kidding about the last one, but honestly, we’ll see.

Complex says that in a series of stories, Iggy first complained about men (I feel you) and wondered why it’s so hard for her to find loyalty or honesty when she’s such a “real 1.”
“You lost a real 1… People take loyalty for granted & that’s why I’d rather be alone… One thing I’ll never understand is how liars live with themselves. That shit don’t eat y’all up inside?”
Iggy later hopped back onto Instagram after the blogs started talking about her being a single mother:
“What I mean last night was that I’m raising my son alone & I’m not in a relationship.”
Iggy then cleared the air AGAIN and wrote that Onyx is “loved by his dad” and will always have “both parents in his life.”
“Nothing I said was intended to make it seem like my son’s father isn’t part of his life, but I’ve noticed a lot of people took it that way, so I wanted to clear the air. Onyx is so loved by his dad and has always had both parents in his life from day one.”
So there you go, Iggy is mainly doing it by herself. And well, remember how she handled Bhad Bhabie? We already know Iggy is good at handling unruly children. But if she ever needs a break, she can just switch out with Trixie Mattel and her baby won’t even notice.
