Scott Baio Thinks Ron Howard’s “Happy Days” Reunion Is “Shameful” But John Stamos Is Happy To Take His Place

Ron Howard is being accused of ruining MAGA’s favorite TV show, Happy Days, by getting on a Zoom call with a few old cast members to raise funds for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. Never mind that Happy Days was a spectacularly dumb show that literally jumped the shark mid-run and is perhaps most well known for its theme song which repeatedly suggests that Sunday is the first day of the week which never sat right with me (even though I now understand it to be technically correct). But the worst thing about Happy Days (besides making me think Milwaukee was actually the 1950s therefore Grease must also take place in Milwaukee since Lavern & Shirley did, which somehow also meant that I Love Lucy took place there too), was fucking Chachi. Even before Scott Baio accepted Donald Trump as his lord and savior, Chachi was the worst.

Oh! Hey Chachi. Apologies, I didn’t see you.

And apparently, neither did Ron. I think maybe Chachi could use some lifts. According to Entertainment Tonight, Scott won’t be joining in on the reunion, but he does take issue with such a “classic show” being used “to promote an anti-American socialist,” presumably referring to Joe Biden. According to Entertainment Tonight:

Scott Baio is not a fan of Ron Howard’s upcoming “Happy Days” reunion.

The Republican actor, who played Chachi Arcola on the hit sitcom, which ran from 1974 to 1984, voiced his opinions on the skit on Twitter, calling it “shameful.”

The reunion is set to benefit the Democratic party of Wisconsin and is scheduled to air Sunday.

Henry Winkler, Howard, Don Most, Anson Williams, Marion Ross, and writer Lowell Ganz have been confirmed so far for the event.

Here’s Chachi showing up uninvited when he knows damn well The Fonz is the only one who gets an applause break every time he walks through the door.

Did you remember that Chachi had a catchphrase on Happy Days? Neither did I! But I was reminded that he did after John Stamos piped in asking if he could play the role of Chachi in the reunion.

It’s hard to pinpoint what exactly went wrong with Scott’s once-promising career. More accurately, it’s hard to pinpoint why Scott ever had a promising career to begin with. Because real talk, he was terrible as Chachi. This is his catchphrase reel. It’s almost unwatchable but my journalistic integrity required it and I now have to make an appointment with my chiropractor due to cringe-related trauma to my shoulders and upper back.

Imagine being proud of this work! Chachi was nothing more than a pint-sized sex pest. It’s no wonder Joanie Loves Chachi was cancelled because “it flopped after only 17 episodes.” Yet somehow, probably due to 1980s nostalgia for 1970s 1950s nostalgia, he was given Charles In Charge where he was allegedly allowed to abuse his young castmates! But that was then and this is now, and right now, Scott better hope Joe wins because you can’t eat nostalgia, but you can feed your family down at the Socialist bread line.
