Kirstie Alley Declares That She’s Voting For Trump Again, And Gets Dragged For It

Kirstie Alley has been trending on Twitter since yesterday, and in the year 2020, the only reason for Kirstie Alley to trend is because she brought the messiness on Twitter again. Yesterday, the actress turned reality TV wreck turned professional Twitter nutjob decided to come out on Twitter and confirm what anybody who actually thinks about Kirstie Alley already knew, which is that she will be voting for Trump 2020. Yes, MAGA’s celebrity wing is just busting out with more A-list star power.

According to Newsweek, Kirstie, who is a longtime Trump supporter, and admitted to voting for him in 2016, took to her Twitter page and again, despite absolutely nobody asking, publicly endorsed Trump. And why? Kirstie is apparently so impressed with the work Trump has been doing (a reminder: 219,000+ dead from COVID) because he’s NOT a politician.

At least this latest admission has overtaken her bikini-revelation-on-Oprah as THE most unnecessarily embarrassing moment in an otherwise completely uninteresting career of bad decisions (okay okay, “Drop Dead Gorgeous” is iconic). But these pro-Trump tweets are the latest in a line of public endorsements of organizations and administrations with extremely fucked-up views. Earlier this month, Kirstie seemingly came out in support of QAnon:

And then the next day, she went on a tear about Nancy Pelosi, calling her a witch who gives witches a bad name. Girl, WHAT?!?!

If, however, you are completely surprised by the news that someone of Kirstie’s high prestige and influence would do such an abrupt about-face, politically, a reminder: she is one of the top-tier Scientologists and has been since she joined in the late 1970s. Backlash on Twitter has been heavy, as Kirstie probably wanted. Every response to Kirstie’s tweet should’ve been, “Okay, but where’s Shelly Miscavige?” Instead of asking that, some pointed out that Trump is, in fact, a politician, no matter how many times she denies it.

In the end, however, Kirstie became overwhelmed by the barrage of negativity:

Interesting. Voting for a noted name-caller but yet Kirstie can’t handle some “nasty names” of her own? But some people (other than MAGAs) even came to the defense of her character (I mean, kind of…)

Here are some more responses that Kirstie got. Oh, and remember: always aim to #BeBest
