Ben Affleck And Ana de Armas Emerged From Hiding After Several Long Months Away From The Cameras

Only a love as raw and transcendent as that between Ben Affleck, Ana de Armas and Rodrigo (pictured above in July) has the power to make a couple of months feel like an eternity. BenAna spent the spring and summer reminding us daily what real commitment (to a bit) looks like, but as soon as the first chill of fall hit the air, BenAna receded from the spotlight, presumably taking to heart the world’s pleas that they get a fucking room. However, according to The Daily Mail, BenAnaRod had a brief reunion yesterday in front of Ben’s “dad pad,” with Ben greeting Ana at the front gate while wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the Cuban phrase “asere ya, gracias” which translates loosely to “my eyes are up here, thank you.

With news last month of a possible engagement on the horizon, I might have thought the love birds would spend the fall season holed up in his dad pad eating soups and bread and just getting all fat and sassy. However, considering it was 90 fucking degrees here in California yesterday, the only indication that the season has changed is that my mechanic tried to upsell me on a Pumpkin Spice oil change. So neither myself or BenAna got the message that it was time for long pants and hot drinks instead of iced. DM reports:

They’re one of the hottest Hollywood couples of the year, and he clearly only has eyes for his lady love.

Ben Affleck was seen giving a warm greeting to his girlfriend Ana de Armas in the Pacific Palisades, California on Thursday, flashing his killer smile whilst wearing a white t-shirt with the famous Cuban phrase, ‘asere ya, gracias’ on the front.

Armas, 32, was in a lovely light blue floral mini dress, carrying a garment bag along with a large leather tote as she appeared to be returning home from a photoshoot.

Here’s the year’s most romantic homecoming since that one time Ana got Ben’s Dunkin’ order wrong and had to go all the way back and returned with a replacement.

Ben probably bought that t-shirt on their whirlwind trip to Cuba back in March. As to the phrase’s meaning, DM says “an internet search for the meaning behind the Cuban Spanish word ‘Asere’ returns everything from ‘buddy’ to ‘an assortment of smelly monkeys,’ but in aggregate the phrase is used as a common greeting in Ana’s native Cuba.” There’s also this explanation from Twitter.

See now, this makes me think maybe the shirt was about Ana finally getting his Dunkin’ order right the first time. Now, that’s my love language!
