Max Ehrich Was Papped With A New Lady

In the span of just a few weeks, Demi Lovato called off her engagement to Max Ehrich after it was discovered that maybe he only proposed for attention. Max could have disappeared back from whence he came (aka relative obscurity), but instead, Max decided to make the most of his newfound attention, no matter how questionably that attention was gained. He’s worked through his emotions with his 1.5 million Instagram followers, and he was caught in a moment of tearful solitude. Well, Max’s tears have finally dried. Because Max has seemingly found love again! And as luck would have it, a photographer has just so happened to be there to catch the special moment on camera.

The last time we wrote about Max, it was reported that he would not leave Demi alone, because he believed there was still a chance for him in Demi’s heart and on her Instagram page. No such luck, according to sources who claimed Demi was speaking to a lawyer about how to officially get Max out of her hair. Max might have just given her the greatest gift, and he didn’t have to borrow her AmEx to pay for it. Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Max was seen with American Idol Season 15 contestant Sonika Vaid. Still don’t have Selena Gomez’s phone number, huh Max?

Max posted a picture of himself and Sonika walking in a way that screams, “What hired photographer?” to Instagram, and he turned the comments off:

He also made sure to tag Sonika, but she has yet to introduce Max to her 44,100 followers. As for Demi, she might not even be aware that Max has appeared to have moved on, as Demi has been busy promoting her new single, “Commander in Chief,” which is her version of a voting PSA.

But back to that picture of Max and Sonika. There doesn’t seem to be any more pictures of the two of them together. Just that one of them walking in a random parking lot. And it’s probably not as candid as Max’s bashful energy would lead you to believe. Right before he posted that picture, he Instagrammed a picture of himself from the same night, appearing to have been taken by the same camera, in the same parking lot, at the same time of night.

So is that photo of Max and Sonika staged or what? Of course, it’s staged. The real mystery is whether the photographer was a friend that owed him a favor, or did Max prop up his iPhone on the trunk of his car before scrambling into position as the timer counted down from 10.
