Chrissy Teigen’s Pregnancy Has Been Made Complicated By A Hospital Visit For Some “Excessive Bleeding”

Chrissy Teigen is currently pregnant with her and John Legend’s third kid, and she hasn’t exactly had the most easy, effortless, slow-motion-twirling-in-a-sunflower-field type of pregnancy. Sure, there have been the usual gestational expectations. Sore legs. Being tired. Finger cramps from deleting thousands of old tweets. But Chrissy was recently put on mandatory 2-week bed rest (as seen above), and now we’re learning that things have gotten worse. But Chrissy has let everyone know she’s ok.

On Sunday night, Chrissy let everyone know what was up in a series of Instagram Stories detailing her latest pregnancy set back. According to Chrissy, she’s halfway through her pregnancy, and she’s had some bleeding issues for a little less than a month. Some bleeding or spotting during pregnancy is normal, but Chrissy says her bleeding was the kind that sets off some invisible alarm bells, so she left the comfort of her bed rest nest and high tailed it to the hospital. She also said that she decided to share the reason for her hospital visit because she, “shares everything,” so why not this as well. via People:

“We’re talking more than your period, girls, and definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot and it’s usually fine. But mine was a lot. Every time I’d go to the bathroom it would be blood, but honestly, just laying there would be blood. But today the big difference was that it kind of was like you were to turn a faucet on to low and leave it there…It was at the point today where it was like never stopping.”

She added that she usually feels the best when she’s pregnant, so she was a little weirded out at what her body was doing. Also, if you’re a doctor, please don’t start playing the at-home game version of What’s Wrong With Chrissy’s Uterus?, because she doesn’t need any Twitter Medical Experts to start guessing why she’s bleeding so much. It also doesn’t have to do with maternity shapewear. Chrissy’s current pseudo-diagnosis is that she’s got a very weak placenta.

As for her third baby, she says he’s doing great:

“Basically he’s the strongest, coolest dude in the shittiest house. His house is just falling apart. It didn’t have a good foundation to begin with, though. He didn’t have the strongest chance at the very, very beginning. It’s just hard because there’s not much you can do,” she added. “I’m in that weird in-between time of it being really dangerous to try anything. Basically if I can make it through the next few weeks, if little boy can make it through the next few weeks, then, you know, we can go from there and be able to kind of get through the danger zone or whatever. But we have to get through this first. So yeah, it is scary. But it’s scary in the way that there’s just really nothing to do.”

And to prove that not everything is a sweeps week episode of ER for Chrissy right now, she posted a video of John from her hospital room and roasted him for snooping through what he thought was an in-suite minibar.

If only Chrissy had shown us what little fridge John was snooping through. That video of John could have only been made better if we learned he was pawing through little complimentary single-servings of chardonnay that smell suspiciously like urine samples.
