Dennis Quaid And CeCe Winans Will Reportedly Appear In Ads Supportive Of Trump’s Coronavirus Response (But They Both Deny That It’s Political)

According to Politico, the Trump Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is spending $300 million of taxpayer dollars to put a positive spin on Trump’s response to coronavirus and jack him off. And helping with that will be Dennis Quaid, and CeCe Winans, and possibly Garth Brooks, and Dr. Oz. But both Dennis and CeCe claim the PSA is not political or an endorsement of Trump. Meanwhile, Jon Voight is loudly weeping somewhere while sitting by the phone.

So, rather than pump $300 million into federal relief funds for Americans who lost their jobs, or who are currently dealing with loan debt, funeral services, and hospital bills, the Trump admin is reportedly taking that money and funneling it into a massive ad blitz campaign designed to praise him for how he handled the pandemic. via Politico:

The public awareness campaign, which HHS is seeking to start airing before Election Day on Nov. 3, was largely conceived and organized by Michael Caputo, the health department’s top spokesperson who took medical leave last week and announced on Thursday that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Caputo, who has no medical or scientific background, claimed in a Facebook video on Sept. 13 that the campaign was “demanded of me by the president of the United States. Personally.”

“The Democrats — and, by the way, their conjugal media and the leftist scientists that are working for the government — are dead set against it,” Caputo told his Facebook followers in the Sept. 13 video. “They cannot afford for us to have any good news before November because they’re already losing. … They’re going to come after me because I’m going to be putting $250 million worth of ads on the air.”

HHS denies that the PSA campaign is political, but the Democrats are already investigating and sources are side-eyeing the use of taxpayer money:

But 10 current and former health officials told POLITICO that they have concerns about the campaign’s scope, goals and even how it has been funded — by pulling money out of health agencies like the Centers for Disease Control that are in the midst of fighting the pandemic, rather than working with lawmakers to set up a brand-new advertising effort with congressional oversight, or drawing on substantial internal resources and expertise in running health-related public service campaigns.

Dennis Quaid and CeCe Winans have already recorded interviews and HHS is trying to get Dr. Oz and Garth Brooks to record something. BUT WAIT, Dennis Quaid popped up on Instagram yesterday to say that the “cancel culture media” claimed he endorsed Trump in a campaign ad and that’s not true. While looking like Jimmy Neutron’s pepaw, Dennis said he did an interview with Dr. Fauci to talk about what we can do to continue to fight coronavirus and that he was not paid for it. Dennis has praised Trump’s response to COVID-19 before, so….

CeCe Winans claimed that it wasn’t political either, and she interviewed Surgeon General Jerome Adams to talk about the importance of mask-wearing:

But well, whether or not Dennis and CeCe got political, one famous person has gotten political today. The Rock, who says he’s an independent and centrist, endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. So if Dennis’ ad isn’t an endorsement for Trump, then I’m sure the Trump PR team will edit Dennis’ video above to have him say: “I am doing an endorsement of Donald Trump. TRUTH!” Take that, The Rock!
