Zack Snyder Will Do Reshoots For His Cut Of “Justice League”

The original Justice League movie ended up being a huge stinker. A contributing factor was original director, Zack Snyder, being forced to step away from the film after a tragic death in his family. Joss Whedon took over and what ended up being released was pretty universally hated. Fans called for the “Snyder Cut” and so DC announced that Zack Snyder’s version will see the light of day, as many of us are STILL waiting for the butthole version of Cats to be released.

While there’s already a lot of footage from Zack’s version, he’s going to do reshoots. Oh good, more content! I was worried that I would be able to watch this movie without having to painfully hold my bladder for hours.

The upcoming Snyder Cut is going to be four hours in total. But he’s not as sadistic as a Martin Scorcese, because it will be released as four one hour episodes As such, Zack needs to get more footage. And Ray Fisher has agreed to play Cyborg again in the reshoots.

Ray has been outspoken about how Joss Whedon was an asshole and abused his power over the cast and crew during filming of Justice League and was enabled by former executives at Warner Bros., Jon Berg and Geoff Johns. Joss even cut out most of the scenes which featured Cyborg. Warner Bros. has since accused Ray of not being cooperative with their investigation into the allegations, but he’s denied that and is sure cooperating fine with Zack.

The Hollywood Reporter says that in October there will be reshoots for the extended cut which will bring back Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Gal Gadot for new scenes. No word on how long they’re going to be shooting but Ray is reported to be going in for about a week.

Ray still has other gigs with the WB coming up, so he doesn’t have to just rely on Zack to book him. But there have been issues. He was supposed to be in the upcoming The Flash movie, starring Ezra Miller, but the new script reduces the role of Cyborg. Hmm! Imagine complaining about a studio’s response to alleged abuse and then getting your role shrunk. Shocking. And according to sources, while Ray’s been asked to do a three-scene appearance, his team has asked for double Warner’s price and negotiations have been stalled for weeks.

Personally, I would accept watching Henry Cavill walk around shirtless on set as payment, but I guess he’s not in The Flash so playing hardball makes sense to me. But well, if Zack can drag Ben Affleck back for reshoots, then anything is possible.
