Splash, Jon Hamm’s new rescue pooch!

Yeah, yeah, maybe Jon Hamm should get the HSOTD stamp of approval for adopting an adorable pooch who was returned to the shelter twice, but I’m giving Splash the HSOTD stamp of approval because he’s now the envy of many slobbery bitches. And somebody should tell Splash to be careful when sitting that close to The Hammaconda. It may mistake him for a capybara and swallow him whole!

People brings us this sweet tale of Splash, who is now living that pampered life with Jon Hamm. But before Jon Hamm adopted him from I Stand With My Pack, a non-profit animal rescue organization in California, he had gone through a couple of families. ISWMP said that he was returned twice because of something called “puppy energy.” I’m pretty sure “puppy energy” is code for “We’re lazy dumb fucks who think that dogs come already trained and perfect.” But Splash is happy that they did since now he gets to hump on Jon Hamm’s leg. Take that, puppeh abandoners!

“He was returned twice at the shelter because of his puppy energy. We rescued him and found him the best home,” they wrote, happily adding that Splash’s future looked very bright. “He lives a fairy tale life now.”

Here’s Splash with his new human, who also delivered something for the foot fetishists out there:

Why do I have a feeling that suddenly I Stand With My Pack is going to get visited by a bunch of “stray dogs” (read: thirsty hos in dog costumes) who will show up and miraculously ask in human English, “So are you going to call Jon Hamm to take me home or what?”
